03/09/18: I have two more of these available. See the rest of my original post below.
CJ
NOTE: This is an updated post . . . new year, new sacks :D

Hey there farmgirls,
I apologize for these being wrinkled (they have been washed and do iron nicely) but I want to pass them on to someone who would like to have them. I want nothing in return for them

Flour sacks from our local mill, this is the variety I buy all the time so I get a Red Rose sack every time I buy flour. They are sturdy, and are great for totebags, tea towels, pillows, aprons, etc. The image really is a wonderful one!

I have TWO of them . . would like to send them together. I'll send them to the first person who posts here that they want them. And, then email me your mailing address!

Thanks much!
CJ

Ruthie -

You can order brand new flour sacks from that mill in two sizes. That's what I did last year. There are 4 designs and they are nice, bright, and colorful.

There is a flour mill in Wauneta, Nebraska...the Wauneta Roller Mill that bags flour in cotton sacks printed with tiny flowers, etc. (Reminds me of some of my little girl dresses from long, long ago.) The flour is amazing. It is so fine and soft and tastes good before you add anything to it. I do not know if they sell the bags alone or not.

Where can you buy that flour, Marilyn. I've never seen any flour in sacks around here.

This flour mill, Cortez Milling, has been family owned and operated for decades. They used to put flour in those sacks with tiny flowers . . . my mom made us dresses from them!

I think you can order from the Wauneta mill. Look on line. My son and husband built a home for a lady who has lots of land in Nebraska, where they grow wheat, corn, beans and more beans. You can grow a lot on lots of land. She went back to check on things and brought back several 25# bags of flour. I was blessed to get one of them. I have never had such good flour.

Wow that is really cool that you guys have mills to be able to buy from, I have never seen one in Michigan. I will have to google it and see if we have any. I am glad there are still some of those mills around!!

Marilyn -

I emailed the Wauneta Roller Mill and they do not have a retailer in Texas, but they will ship the flour. They also sell the 25# empty sacks for $5 each and she said they have 3-4 different prints. You can contact <ashodle@gmail.com> - Ashley Einspahr - for more information.
