No there aren't any trees in my area that have acorns, Redwoods, firs and Eucalyptus, mostly. I am happy to share, do you still want some, there will be plenty for me too.

Thanks Peggy, I love your decorations and Acorns. I am sure you will get some of the acorns to add to yours when I get them. I will let you know. I love your owls.
Have a good evening.

Debbie...I knew Colorado was getting hit with a Snow Storm and was wondering if you and CJ were getting hit with it. Seems way to early for snow doesn't it??? Even in Colorado. We are getting rain, rain, and more rain. I have now had to take my walking back into the Fitness Center. Let me tell you I LOVE walking out doors...hate walking on a Treadmill. Can we say..."Boring"? Had to call Fitbit too and have them help me tweak my Charge HR as the first day I went back inside to walk I walked for 2 hours and 5+ miles and it only calculated 3,879 Steps. It should have been about 11,000+ steps...so, I got ripped off a lot of steps... and I was NOT a HAPPY Fitbit user. LOL But the important thing was I got my exercise in anyway and then when I went back in yesterday it calculated my steps correctly.
Off to do my FB and get a nap before I have to go to Bible Study later.
Love and Smiles, Peggy

Sounds like you are keeping active Peggy, Have a good nap and Bible study tonight.
Debbie I have a friend who lives in Broomfield and she said it was really slushy there but no more snow. Stay warm out there.

I am waiting for things to dry out so I can get some more acorns for you Debbie. Once they hit the wet ground and it rains again it is hard to find very many whole ones with the caps still intact.

Well I will be getting some acorns and Eucalyptus out to you both this week. Just waiting for pay day, that way you can have them for fall decoration. Enjoy.

You guys may have some in your own town. Look for oak trees and then look underneath them. My daughter has oak trees in her town in the roadside park and they are everywhere. They are more of a brown color. I am guessing there are different varieties of acorns. How do you take the husks off? |
