Howdy ladies!

My CSA, Funky Monkey Farms, ordered over 15,000 seedlings from a nursery and the shipping company left them in a warehouse over Labor Day weekend. When they arrived, all the plants were dead.

Needless to say, this is devestating for the farm, as it is too late to start seeds (our growing season is September to April and cool-weather plants have a very limited window to be grown, because of our hot climate). The owner was able to raise enough money to by new plants, but she's having trouble finding the plants themselves!

Does anyone know of any nurseries or plant suppliers who have seedings ready to sell this time of year who is not already sold out?

Here is the farm's website:

Thanks in advance!

Were they insured so that the shipping company would be responsible for replacing them?

She got her money back, but needed plants to go in the ground ASAP. Fortunately, we did an interview with a local news station and some small nurseries contacted her. They'll be in the ground a little late, but at least her business will continue!
