Navy, submariner. I am from a tiny town called Galway. Near Saratoga Springs. Do you know it? I met my husband when he was at the nuclear school there many moons ago. Lol.

My husband was USAF. I met my husband when he was in, too.... :) I know where Saratoga Springs is...never heard of Galway...it sounds nice, though. I love tiny towns.
Hugs, Christine

Christine, you're not alone. It is rare for anyone to have heard of Galway. Lol. It is a very small town. It is about 30 minutes northwest of Saratoga.

HI CHRISTINE!!! Another retired military wife here! Welcome! I am fairly new as well! My husband is retired Army, prior Air Force and now flies over in Africa for DOD! I have a lot of time here to take care of our homestead and was getting kind of lonely until I found a MaryJane magazine and fell in love with it and what she stood for! now I am happy gardening, experimenting in Organics and even sewing for the first time!! You will 'feel' the love for sure plus learn new things from the more experienced ladies here as I have and am doing! It's been such a blessing so far! Holler if I an help in any way!! hugs, Dianna

Hi Dianna! I love it here! I, too, love what the whole "MaryJane" magazine and movement is and stands for. Isn't it great to meet like minded people?? I've been a long time subscriber and decided to join in on the "sisterhood".
My husband retired last month. He is working a "civie" job now. He loves it. He did 22 years in the USAF. How long are you guys out? I admit, showing my dependent retired ID was kind of weird the first time commissary and PX shopping. Strange he's not "in" anymore.
Anytime you feel lonely and need to talk, I'm usually around. :)
Have a great day and feel free to message me anytime.
Hugs, Christine
