I will post a pic of the jean bag I sent to my swap partner later tonite...I am on my kindle and cant access the picture.
Oh and... I needed a quick b-day gift...sew guess what I made.... yep... a jean purse... it turned out quite cute if I do say sew myself! Lol!

here is the one I made for RoDonna,,,
I added a couple of tuck ins with the purse...
RoDonna is a mom of 4 so I figured she needed a 'girlie girlie' bag...
the skirt already had a lining in it so I didn't have to add one,,, but what I do like about the skirt is that it is longer than a jean pant one... so a girlie can put more stuff in it... lol!
Using a denim skirt was fun... hope she likes it.

How cute is that!! It is quiet..Kat!! Thinking the same thing!! I was gone this weekend to help with my daughters yardsale. My husband has to have another surgery on his right knee on Friday. They are taking out his replaced knee because of infection and will put in a fake knee that has antibiotic in it. That stays in for four months and then another replacement knee later on will be inserted. This is the fifth surgery in 16 months!! The hospital is 2 1/2 hours away so it is so tiring....but the Lord keeps you going!! This is going to be the thing DH needs!!!

This is the one I made for Brenda. She has it now. She's been mega busy with remodeling and so kind to me! Its the very first jean purse I have ever made. It no where near perfect but a lot of love went into creating it. I used my sweet beloved mothers jean shirt and a pair of my old jeans. I made it as if it were for me. I learned quite a few things from my mistakes and look forward to doing a swap like this one again! Thank you for hosting it!

Hey Grace! I meant to send yours sooner but I was stitching by hand. I was scared it would break the sewing machine needle. It's finished so it will be sent tomorrow. Hope you enjoy it. It was fun to make.

Hi Grace, I used the leg of the jeans to make the purse longer. The strides are so short nowadays, I thought it might do better to make it a little longer. I cut the leg of the jean and made a strip to sew on each side of the jeans, then I gusseted the bottom on each side.
And the purse I received from Beccalou was adorable. Becca drew a big bee hive with paint on one side of the purse, so cute!! and then flowers were on the other side with appliqued bees buzzing around the flowers!! Then a brass bee is hanging from the belt loop!! The flowers are wonderful pastel ones so pretty!!! My camera is on the blink, so I can't get a photo posted :-( she included so many sweet extras along with my purse!! Thank you so much, Becca I enjoyed being your partner!!

Thank you Mary and all the sweet farmgirls who have expressed their thoughts for my DH. He had his replacement knee removed Friday and a spacer knee filled with antibiotics inserted along with a port for antibiotics and hopefully that will get rid of the blood infection he has had for 16 months. The spaces knee will stay in for about four months and then another replacement knee will be inserted. The hospital we have to use is 2 1/2 hours away so that makes it a little more challenging. Any hoo, the Lord will get us over this hump and then on to whatever He has us to do!! Smiles......

the back side,,,, luv the yoyos....
but,,, wowzers,,, what a great idea,,, RoDonna lined the Jean purse w/another pair of jeans.. what a great idea... and pockets galore!
