Does anyone enjoy tent camping?
I am just starting, looking for tips and tricks.
What are you must have items for a tent camping adventure?

We went camping once with a tent. Had a great time until we got ready for bed. We forgot our pillows and airmats. My dog Ranger tried to snake my bag for himself. It was the one and only time he grrd at me. I grrd back louder and reminded him I am the mommy of the pack. He moved but pouted the rest of the night and kept trying to snake back in. We woke up the next morning sore from the cold hard ground. We ended up leaving the next day early.
So my first advice is:

PACK YOUR PILLOW
AN AIRMAT
AND YOUR DOG'S BED

Bridgette,
Are you talking just ordinary camping or tent GLAMPING? My daughter and I have done a lot of tent glamping which is way above and beyond ordinary camping.

BUT, must haves are good flashlights and fresh batteries, as well as fresh batteries for anything else you're using that has batteries'
up-to-date and adequate first aid kit; rain gear if rain is a possibility; good matches and/or fire starter "stick" and paper to start fires, if you plan to do that. We use this opportunity to burn old receipts, etc. that otherwise would need shredding.

I could go on and on but for now I hope that helps!

CeeJay, do you have any pix you would like to share of your tent glamping? Would love to gather ideas.

Nancy, we did our share of tent camping when I was younger. I have graduated to a small trailer with a real bed, a heater and hard top to protect us from the rain. My back thanks me for that decision. Lol

Nancy,
Here are links to our tent glamping threads here in Outpost.
In the first one we have an older, smaller tent. We bought a new larger one after that.

AND, if that isn't enough there are many, many more. We now have a little vintage trailer that we have used for glamping the last 2 summers.
We also use and decorate an EZ-Up canopy, seen next to our tent in these pictures. We use it with the trailer . . "Reivers Rest" too.

P.S. There is at least one thread in Outpost with "Reivers Rest".
Thanks for asking and letting me share!

How much fun CeeJay. The pix are GREAT! We have a vintage 1963 Santa Fe. Hubby wants to sell it. I am not on board with that at all. But if he does we still have a huge tent. My BFF and I would have great fun getting it fixed up for tent glamping.

Nancy,
We still have the newer tent, so we can still tent glamp in it. It's nice and roomy, a very nice tent and we love the screened porch.
That is what we would use if/when we go on LONG trips. I don't think my little trailer is up to going far from home. We sure have enjoyed taking her out though. She's not big enough for both of us to sleep in (due to her interior configuration and being only 10 ft. long) so I let my daughter sleep in it and I have a nice, cozy, comfy bed in the back of our Envoy. My dog, Bramble, goes with us and she sleeps in the Envoy with me. She's a very GOOD glamper dog!
