Boo hoo hoo! How did I miss this?! (ps, it has been really busy at the University where I work).
I LOVE my chickens and roosters! I have a 'guard chicken', a huge rooster who sleeps outside my front door on the welcome mat every night! he even pecks at the door to come in, just like he sees the dogs doing!
and I have roosters and chickens interspersed with my Dad's Blue Onion collection throughout my kitchen! But I don't know anyone else locally who likes them, so it is so fun to see others who share the passion!
Can we do this again sometime? Sounds like all of us hens love to add to our 'barnyard' chicken collection....!

Laurie, I have roosters too. They are like watch dogs, letting me know when something is not right. They follow me to the car when I am leaving and are there to greet me when I come home. I have about ten now. When my hens begin to look ragged, the roo must leave. One time I had a pen...all snippy, bossy hens...until I put a big older roo in with them. It was so funny to see. He took control, in three minutes, and the hens were much nicer to each other after that. I love my roos.

Linda, thank you so much for my package!! I am feeling so spoiled and just love everything. The little chicken salt and peppers shakers are adorable and the cow is a perfect addition to my kitchen farm! The mini apron fits perfectly on my new water bottle (in the pic) and the microwave bowl holder is going to be perfect for my lunch soups. Thank you!
