So I self-diagnosed (80% sure) myself with Endo about 6-8 months ago. It's getting worse. I am almost debilitated with pain, crying on and off. So I guess I will be trying to get in the doctor. I just wondered if anyone had any tips for relief in the meantime. I never take ANYTHING, but last night I took a loratab and it didn't help....

EDIT- Anyone ever had effective treatment of Endo? I am surgically sterile via tubal, if that matters.

It's a wise decision to see a doctor. I have had friends who suffered so much from endometriosis, and there are some treatments (up to and including surgical ones) that really help. In the meantime, all I can think of is the good old ice pack. Seems like heating pads sometimes make the flare-up seem worse.

Thanks. I have been using heat, but not cold yet. I will try that today.

Alicia, I am so sorry. Definitely agree that you should see a doctor. It will only get worse until you have them help. I feel that walking helps to relieve some of the pain. Hope you can find some relief.

I had it much of my adult life. Birth control pills helped when I was younger and before I had my kids. After I had kids, there was really nothing that could break the pain. I ended up with a hysterectomy at 40. Sorry to say it, but it was the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Have you tried evening primrose? I have taken it since I was a teen.
