I was curious if anyone would be interested in a pattern pocket exchange? You would use a pattern envelope of any kind, embellish it on the outside, then enclose a few happy snail mail items to fill it up and mail to your partner.
I've attached a couple pictures of ideas below.

Oh oh oh... wouldnt it be fun to make a journal using and embellishing a note book with a pattern envelope! ?!?
I know I have seen tons of journals that have been embellished with bits of this & that... sew cute....

I love your thinking, Grace! I have a pretty 3 ring binder that I have made into a junkque journal and have been enclosing any pretty envelopes I receive from friends into it to use a pockets, I've also enclosed some of the altered file folders I've made and or received from farmgirls - they make charming pockets to hold memories and pretties! You can always embellish them with ribbons near the 3 hole punches, but then again, I love ribbons in any journal, pretty tags, anything paper and pretty! A junkque journal with ribbons and lace hanging out is so beautiful to me! Have fun creating!!

Well,,, I found 3 pattern envelopes... now to decide which one I would like to embellish,,, might have to do a trail run 'sample' foir myself first! lol! you know,,, to work the bugs out... lol!

Grace, you crazy nut aka my other pea in the pod. LOL! I would love to see a picture of the mad scientist toiling over her pattern pockets and creative stash. LOL! LOL!
Sometimes I get so many creative trains on the track, I get all excited and fidgety. LOL!
I get to the point, I do not want to cook, clean or do anything domestic, I just want to take a part of each day and create, Okay; the whole day. LOL! Whoo Hoo! Confession is so good for the creative soul. LOL!
Brother Big Buzz wants fried chicken for dinner tomorrow. Can any of you farmsisters tell me how to disguise Kentucky Fried Chicken to look like I cooked it? This would free up my time to create. I got it! I will just throw a couple pieces in the skillet (the old dreaded iron skillet that wiped out two of my toes) and burn them a little . Oh yeah baby,, that will work!
And another creative train comes thru for me. LOL!
Hugs and giggles so robust, you lose your bloomers. LOL!

Oh Dang, Deb,,, you are a hoot!... ok,, for sure KFC in the skillet,,, but don't forget to dribble a bit of 'flour' across you face and make sure you wear four dirty greasy old apron,,, lol! But wait,,, tomorrow is mama's day,,, perhaps your BBB will surprise you and make dinner or at least take you out to KFC! lol!
As for moments of creative mad scientist,,, I have had says where I have literally just craweled outta my P.J's,,, hair in a pony tail and lived off of java and carrot stix,,, and crafted till jut before the DH came home,,, then I would jam into jeans, run a comb through my hair and toss some Brats in the skillet... SH never caught on,,, and if he did, he never let on,,, but I think he was just glad to come home to Brats!!! lol!

Ok... I decided on which pattern jacket/sleeve/envelope to use.... got my bits & pieces for embellishment ...
Oh and fyi.... save the tissue pattern for using to stuff dmall packages instead of buying gift wrap tissue paper.
