I was wondering if anyone would be interested in an altered collection folio swap? I created the example below... very plain on the outside, altered and decorated on the inside, it was my first one... work in progress!
I found the blank collection folio at Joannes, it's a Tim Holtz collection folio, take a coupon for additional savings!
No theme, just use your creativity to design a beautiful folio for your partner, be sure to allow each tab to open if your partner would like to use it to enclose documents, pictures or journal and/or scrap book with it. The tabs will almost serve as pages or pockets.
If interested, please leave a message below.
Sign ups until July 7th.
Mail out by July 21st.

April,
Having difficulty finding folio. I have checked, Michaels, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's. No one seem so to carry them anymore. I tried online on all three sites as well. JoAnn's was the only one who showed them on their website. However, The small one is out of stock. The large one, when I tried to order said unavailable. Any suggestions?

April I got one at a yard sale and still had it. Can you believe that. I didn't even know what it was. Ha! If I hadn't I probably would made one. Yay!!!

Hi Deborah, Gosh, I'm so very sorry... yikes! That could be a problem. My local Joannes still has them on the shelves and I also went on line and the large one seems available (On sale, too!). Possibly try again?! If you can't get it, we may need to cancel? Please keep most posted.

Hi Sherry, I have one of each, not sure yet... I need to figure out my design idea and go from there! So happy you found a folio!
Deborah, were you able to find one yet?
Excited to see what you ladies create, I've only seen a few ideas of created folios, one was made into a family history folio with family photos and memories, another with vacation photos, others just pretty with pretty papers or letters inserted. Can be used as decorative or for storage and organizing! Have fun!

April, Sent you an E-mail. Sorry to say I am unable to find a folio. Have visited several JoAnn's , Hobby Lobby stores and Michaels. No luck. Ordered one from JoAnn's after I was told they had the large one's in stock only to find out 8 days later they did not.
Please withdraw my name from this swap. I will look forward to joining you in other swaps!

These folios are available on amazon, but it says it will take one to two months to be shipped out.

Thanks, Brenda, so kind to share! I didn't realize these folios would be so difficult to find... I assumed since my local Joann's carried them on the shelf, it would be a standard item for the Joannes stores at least. Guess I was wrong! Appreciate you sharing! Have a wonderful weekend ahead!

Marlee! I received my altered folio today, thank you so much! Oh my gosh, LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It's just so pretty, inside and out! You really out did yourself! I will cherish this and plan to use it for something very special, I'm initially thinking this is where I may store all the little love letters and notes my husband has written to me over the years. It's so full of love and thought, thank you! ~ April

Hi April, so glad that you liked it. That was so much fun. My sister in law bought me a package from Michaels. And it is all old time things. So that is what I decided to decorate with. Yay!!

OMG April I got my Folio , It is so me. I love all the tags , pockets, The paper covering the inside. Ribbons, lace, butterflies. I couldn't get pics on computer from phone. Hubby tried.

Hi Marlee! I'm soooo happy you received it and liked it! It was so much fun making it for you. I tried to glue the tags and pockets in a fashion where you could actually use each layer as a page and insert special letters or keepsakes in between the pages if you choose to. I actually did take a couple pictures before I sent it because I didn't want to forget how I did it! LOL!! Below are a couple pictures. XO
