Well we are on the home stretch... I hope!
Flooring guys are here grinding/sanding the concrete floor of our kitchen, laundry room and bathroom..... tomorrow the new flooring gets installed .... yippppeeee!
just 1 more day (hopefully) and we won't have to live with dust... it is amazing how far dust can travel, even when everything including doorways is sealed off with plastic sheeting...
so come Sunday I will have my house back...
Windows replaced...
Drapes replaced ...
painting done...
Flooring replaced (almost) ...
I think I will celebrate with a big ginormous bar of dark 70% cocoa!

Hooray Grace! It takes a lot of patience to get through a remodel. Sounds like you will have a new house Sunday. Enjoy it and pictures please when you get a chance.

SO HAPPY TO HEAR THIS Grace!!! I know when our house was being built and we lived in the tiny RV I was singing " They're Coming To Take Me Away Haha...hoho...hehe..."!!! lol, my mom played that song a lot while I was growing up. Even backwards! BUT....now that it's all done it's like giving birth, the pain is gone and the joy is immense! Thus it will be for you all as well!!! Pictures would be great! Happy Friday toots!

Grace...Oh, my heart has great empathy for you. I remember the dust when we had the Kitchen remodeled.
I think there is still some of it in places. LOL But like everyone else...we want to see Pictures!

I survived a complete house remodel about 14 years ago... and dang if I don't go and do it again! Lll...
Oh and btw.... the floor dudes broke the toilet.... so we now have a new toilet in the laundry room bathroom....
On the pluse side... I got to hide in my sewing room and sew.... yep, more aprons!

ok,,, so 'all done'... well we did have one more 'hick-up'... the flooring dudes broke the toilet,,, so now I have a new toilet in the bathroom...
I soooo need a Winecicle!!!! lol!
"Princess Barksalot" kept me company yesterday evening while I soaked my tootsies in s tub filled with Epsom salt and lavender EO..

So I tried to take some photos of the flooring,,, either I am a rotten photographer or my camera is old and crappy,,, I am gonna blame it on the camera! lol!
it's a 'traverten' composite,,, and easy to maintain...
I have mopped it 3 times since yesterday,,, to make sure there is no dust anywhere... hmmm, maybe I am Type-A after all... lol!

Looks great Grace! I lived in our house while the edition was put on. Ugh! The plaster dust was awful. But all worth it in the end. Enjoy!

I am enjoying the new flooring and that I have erradicated nearly every dust particle! !!!!
Even our lil ginger loves the new flooring... she stretches out in what we call "frog dog " mode... silly lil pup....

April,,, this is actually a travertine looking floor,,, not concrete,.. altho my cousin did her den/gameroom by sanding the concret and coating it with a flooring type of paint... she loves it because she has her grandsons over all the time and she doesn't have to worry about the flooring.
