Ohoh! Talk about being late to post. Here are blocks for October/November. I will be gone the beginning of November, so posting both months NOW!

Each month a new block (or more) will be posted and a new thread will begin for each new month. I hope many of you will join in and we will have a lot of new quilts to show off in 12 months or less.

You can join in at any time. We'd love to have you!
NOTE: Please be sure to "Subscribe" to this thread so you don't miss anything.

For the next 2 months there are 4 blocks (chosen by Debbie Klann - thank you so so so much, Debbie!). As always, you can do one, all, or none of them. Your choice. These blocks will be yours, so choose your fabrics and quilt away. Make table runners, quilts, wall hangings, or potholders with them - your choice.

NOTE: All patterns come from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn.
Please read her terms and conditions of use here. http://www.quilterscache.com/TermsPage.html

October blocks:

http://www.quilterscache.com/N/NextDoorNeighbor.html

November blocks:
http://www.quilterscache.com/V/VariableStarBlock.html
http://www.quilterscache.com/C/ChisholmTrailBlock.html

Please let me know if you would like to choose blocks from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn (www.quilterscache.com) website for future months, and send me the link(s). We try to have at least one simpler block and another sometimes more complicated.

Challenge yourself. As most of you know, quilt blocks are mostly squares and triangles. It is the way they are put together that makes a beautiful quilt.

Thank you for joining in.

Happy quilting for all!

Farmgirl hugs,

So pretty, Debbie! What beautiful work.

I need to get a walking foot for my machine. I am horrible at getting points to line up and such, too. Ha! Maybe one day...

Thank you, girls! I finished the top and sent it off to the quilter. It just kept growing and growing....she should have it ready this week. I will post a photo when I get it back. I usually do about 80% of my own machine quilting but there have been a few that I wanted something really special that I didn't think I could do a good enough job with, like feathers. Or, I didn't want to wrestle with a king size quilt. I just found a new machine quilter and I am so happy with her quilting...she does such a beautiful job!!!

I love your colors, Debbie.

I am sorry to say that I will not be doing this Block of the Month in 2018. I just do not have the time with all my other activities -
and traveling. I'd love for someone else to take it over, because I think we have gotten many farmgirls interested in quilting by showing them how simple it is to make different blocks and putting them together to make a quilt. Is anyone interested in taking this over? If so, please say so here and I gladly relinquish the reins to you.

Hugs to all!
