Hope everyone has a GREAT holiday weekend!

What are your plans this year? Hosting? Going somewhere? Ordering take out?

If you are cooking - what are you doing? Any food hacks to share for the holidays?

I'd love to know how to get hard boiled eggs to peel properly - I always struggle with that every year!!! lol

We have our big dinner on Saturday after. We fry a turkey and bake one. Three dressings, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans two ways, Brussel sprouts, and many, many desserts. As for your eggs, put some baking soda in the water that you boil them in. This helps if they're fresh. Even using this some of mine still don't peel correctly, but I have better success. Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Every year the family gets together in Arizona for Thanksgiving! There is always too much food, but the company is wonderful! We have the usual turkey, dressing, mash potatoes, and vegetables. We also have a protein for the vegetarians (this year we are trying seiten) and last year we added finely chopped cauliflower to our mash potatoes and will do it again this year (a 50/50 ratio). The older we get the more healthy alternative we try to find. Dessert is usually a fruit pie, hours later. I hope everyone enjoys their special day with family and/or friends.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Farmgirls!! I hope you day is full of love, friends/family, and delicious food!!

All these shared favorites that are going to be served sure sound yummy!! We will be going to Tallahassee, Florida to spend the day with an old friend and his neighbors and friends. We have been doing it for so many years, it has become a tradition. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and I am looking forward to tomorrow.
