Haven't been on here in awhile. Been outside putting up a fence and building a shed from materials that have been laying around the farm for months now. If that counts as a UFO. I almost have another one done just need to put the finishing touches on the shed. So going to sewing class is a breath of cool air. Made 5 pillows cases and a pillow the last 2 Thursdays.

Building the sheds and putting up the fence are indeed UFOs if they have been put off for too long. Please let us see pictures for inspiration.

July is almost done and I see no finished projects. I do know there are some out there. Ladies, please brag about them and show us the pictures. I've been looking for work but it looks as if I will be tutoring reading again with Reading Corps. That all starts in the middle of August.

I did get 3 UFO's finished in the past couple of months. I had 5 projects left on my UFO list and am down to 2!!!! Hooray!!! But 2 out of the 3 are long term projects...to finish my crocheted tablecloth and an applique quilt. But I am currently working on the applique quilt and it's going a little faster than I thought it would. I will post photos below.....

This cross stitch picture was on my UFO list. I don't know how many hours are into it...a couple hundred, anyway. I just need to send it off to be framed and it is going to be my mom's Christmas present.

This is a wool table topper that I finally finished. I'm really enjoying working with wool and it doesn't take as long as some other projects.

Debbie...you have been one busy farm girl!

Luv the felt/wool table topper ...

As for your cross stitch.. you probably do have hundreds of hours in it.
I did a 5x7 cross stitch (14ct) picture of a Spaniel. Pup chewing on a boot lace... (in nearly every shade of beige to brown!
I kept track of my time stitching... 20+ hours...
At today's minimum wage that would come yo over $200 not including the adia cloth, floss and eye strain!

So you ROCK!!!!

Thank you!
When I started that cross stitch project, I had just started wearing glasses, if I remember correctly. By the time I finished it, I had to go down and buy a high powered pair of readers! I did it on linen and I could barely see the holes. I had to photo copy the pattern and then color in the squares as I finished because I could not tell what I had finished. It was the most detailed thing that I have stitched to date. Some squares were 1/2 stitches with 1 thread, some were 1/2 stitches with 2 threads...some were 2 threads of 1 color and 1 strand of another color...some were only 1 thread different that another....I almost lost my mind....hahaha! Just so glad that it's finished!
I've seen that picture of the pup and boot lace...so cute!

Wow Debbie you have been busy! Way to go. They all turned out beautifully. And your cross stitched picture is magnificent. I was going crazy just reading all the work you did! It sounds like a pain, but it turned out lovely. I can't wait to see your crocheted tablecloth and quilt.

I just finished this baby sweater that I started last fall, and I think it should still fit the baby. Luckily she is a petite little girl.

finally,, got this project done...
I luv my cashmere sweaters... but over the years I found I am not comfortable with turtle neck sweaters... so,, I made a bold move, cut open the neck, crochet the edges with some left over Alpaca wool yarn and then added beading.
You can tell it was a UFO.. as the sweater is uber wrinkled from being stashed in the UFO basket... lol!

I'll hang it in the laundry room and mist out the wrinkles...

How is everyone's UFOs coming along? It appears to have been almost 2 months since one has been completed. Maybe the upcoming holidays? I am working on a few right now and hoping to finish at least one over the weekend.
