Here are the pictures of the little purses and the apron I finished. As I said before, the 4 nurses caps I made yesterday for my DIL. I've asked her to take a picture so I can post.

So far today I finished 4 more UFO projects. I have had an entire garbage bag of jeans for over 6 months (some over a year) to use for projects to sell. Today I made 3 more child's purses and another recycled Jeans aprons.
This first purse (showing front and back) was made from a size 2T Pretty Kitty skirt. It already had a lining, so was a little easier. I love the ruffles at the back. I used a decorated stitch down the center of the ribbon for the strap.

The other 2 purses are both lined, like all my kids' purses. The one on the left is from a child's pair of jeans and the other is made from the leg of another pair of kid's jeans. I love finding children's jeans that have decorative stitching.

I love the way this apron turned out. It has a wider ruffle than the other and a waistband that slides through the belt loops of the jeans back.

I have at least 3 more child's purses, numerous aprons (both half aprons and cobbler style), and a couple clothespin bags to make from the jeans I have. I love that these UFOs also use up some of my fabric stash pieces.

Wow, you're really moving full steam ahead Linda! Those look great. I've got a large box of jeans to use for weaving rag rugs. I should probably save the tops and use them for bags etc.

The tops are great - only half a top for each half apron. Out of the entire tops you can make purses, clothespin bags, and by adding a skirt that make very neat farmgirl skirts - I've made a few of those, and might make some to sell, too. I also want to cut some of the legs into squares for jeans rag quilts. Jeans are great for craft projects of all kinds.

Linda, those purses are adorable and knowing that they are only a size 2T is awesome. I'll have to make sure I save some of my daughters jeans once she grows out of them and turn them into purses for her. This is such a great idea you ladies have come up with! Your apron is super cute too! The watermelon is making me excited for warmer summer weather.

Linda, I love your purses and aprons. Such great ideas! I'm still working on UFO number two. It's a cross stitched set of tea towels and with the garden starting to come into the greenhouse, it is taking much longer than I anticipated. As Dory the Fish once sang....Just keep swimming, just keep swimming! lol

my second UFO of the year. We had a basketmaking class at our weaving guild yesterday and I started and finished this cute little basket. The best part of this is that I resisted the temptation to buy some of the extra kits to bring home and do “later’” Big win for me!

Darn computer loosing my reply...

Those are so cute Linda!!

Good job mom (although you *could* have gotten an extra kit for me!! j/k I probably don't need another project)

I didn't get much done last month, other than making my list. Maybe in Feb I'll get a UFO or two done. I did make a sheep out of roving and do two crochet projects but those were started in 2018 so I didn't know if they counted lol.

I can still get you a kit Sabrina-if you REALLY need one. I think you can count any UFO that becomes
complete-after all my basket was all yesterday !

Krista - these purses are from kids jeans. The aprons so far have been adult jeans. LOL! A friend gave me a bunch of adult jeans that are taking up space in my sewing room/house. I am trying to whittle them down. Wish I could find more little girls' decorated jeans. That saves having to embellish them.

Sylvia - Love the basket! Great job on it!

Sylvia, your basket turned out so cute. I love how tiny it is. What do you plan to do with it?

I fished another UFO last night. Last year one of my pictures fell off the wall and the glass broke, so I finally got around to replacing the glass and hanging it back up! It's amazing how I keep putting simple UFOs like that aside. But I'm glad to have it done.

Wow, Everyone is doing fantastic with their UFO's!!

I just finished another UFO yesterday. Repaired a winter jacket for my guy. He melted a hole in the side, standing too close to the turbo heater he uses to warm an unheated building. This was a bit of a challenge, since there isn't fabric available to match. However, he does not use the hidden hood, so that did the trick. Problem solved, UFO finished!!

I've completed a big job this week which was years overdue. It wasn't really related to crafting, except that it created a LOT of space to store spinning wheels etc in a much more organized manner. I'll be able to get the 4-H club extra spinning wheels out of my living room and upstairs into the attic. I sorted 36 boxes of out of date files which will be picked up this week by a Mobile Shredding company! It felt really good to get the space cleared and once the boxes are picked up, the clutter gone. Right now they're sitting in my front hallway.

Jill, that is a UFO. If those files have been sitting around since 2017, it counts. Good job.
