Hello all, I am new again to MaryJanes Farm Connection. It has been quite a few years since I was on here. We moved about 4 years ago and have not been on since. I look forward to meeting some new farmgirls and reconnecting with the some of my old friends. I can't wait to jump in.

Wow, thank you all for the warmest of welcomes. I have missed being here so much. So much has changed for me and I am sure I posted about the change years ago. We are living the dream. I am sorry I missed the congrats on the farmgirls of the year. Congratulations to you all, and I will be around. I'm thinking to jump in and do or host a swap now that the holidays are over.

Sobyn,Life really does take over sometimes. It's been a crazy ride for us over the past 4 years. Winnie, Krista, Jana, Nora,Deb, and YellowRose I so look forward to talking to you all and sharing adventures. The reason I left being on here 4 or so years ago was my mother decided on a whim to get her knees replaced. At this point I Knew I would be taking care of her. So...my husband and I with a help from my brother went to Annapolis Md. packed her house out, sold the house and after her surgery she moved in with me and my husband. We are both working 40 hours plus a week and were just tired of the rat race. We knew we wanted more out of life and have talked about it and saved every homesteading thing we came across. We really wanted to go way off the grid but with my mom that was impossible. So for a year we looked for the perfect situation. I was dreading living with my mom and giving up my privacy for her and 4 cats and a dog. I don't have anything against those things but still value my privacy very much. We found 2 older small homes on a 5 acre property with 2 houses 30 ft of each others front door. It was perfect for us. My husband and I could have our privacy, and still take care of mom and her animals. We aren't off the grid by any means, but we quit our jobs, and moved out to WV. I have always made soap and balms and other kinds of beauty and home products. We now set up at the farmers markets selling our home made artisan breads, rolls, goodies, chocolate croissants, donuts, you name it we make it plus all of our products. We have a few state parks that sell our products and we have an online store. We are poor but very happy. We just pay our bills but we are happy. It works for us. So now that all the dust has settled I am back on here and have some time to get to getting to know everyone. :) Thanks for listening.
