Ok,, I just finished up sending out emails w/my addy to everyone... if you do not receive it,, check your 'junk/spam' box... every now and then for some reason, some of my MJF emails go there... who knows why...

I was going to sew today but I had to take my friend to physical therapy, to get a haircut and to Sonic for a snack and a drink.Now I am on the heating pad. But the day isn't over yet. We had a heatwave today, Grace. 12° at 6am and it was all the way up to 37° at 4pm. I was amazed at how warm it felt in the sun shine, if you could escape the North breeze!
It takes my friend three times as long to do things as anyone else. She was not even dressed to go to town when I got there, so of course we were late! Her hair dresser came out and visited with me for a few minutes, and to tell me my friend had stopped to talk to someone. She said, my friend is getting worse, every month she sees dramatic changes! So I'm not the only canary in the coal mine.

12* degrees,,, that's all??? ok, You Win! lol!
We were I the high 30's today.. but tomorrow we go back to slushy snowy weather.. Oh Joy!
OH and I am usually "that friend" who is always running late...lol! Be glad I am not your neighbor,, you'd never get anything done w/me around... aka 'Chatty Cathy"...

Yep,, with repair dude here and Hubby out playing on the quad-runner... I actually had several hours to myself... and so I sewed to my hearts content!
I even remembered to label mine...
After I finished the minis... I worked on a quilt block,,,, now to just finish assembling it and then I can put it in my block scrap book.

Just 10 aprons... easy peasy...
I forgot to mention,,, if you could,,, either print your name somewhere on your apron or print your name on a piece of paper or fabric and attach it to your aprons,, so we will know who sent what...

HI ladies... hope you all are having fun with fabric & sewing machine...
A little update on my world,,,
My precious mother had a stroke on Thursday... long story short,,, she is showing some improvement,,, baby steps.. She will be in the hospital for 2 weeks give or take... and if all goes well will be released to go home... so hubby and I will be heading back to California to take care of all the paperwork and then to set up home health care for her. She will need a full time care giver during the day...
SO we may be there for several months...
So here is where I am at,, I will have my daughter gather up & sort the mini aprons and send them out to you all. and I will have her send me mine so I can hang them up in mom's kitchen window... it will give her and me the much needed smile factor...
As for a March/April swap... I am not sure I will be able to host it...because I can not think that far down the road...
I canceled my trip back to Germany and have contacted all our family there.. My mother's brother is going to come to the USA to visit mom once she is settled in at home...
SO if someone would like to continue the swap by hosting it temporaril ,,, that would be great,,, or we can wait till May/June and I can host it again...
Anyways,, this is my world for now... I look forward to seeing your sweet Valentine mini aprons...

I just got off the computer, skyped w/my sis who is at the hospital with mom... so I got to see mom,,, my heart is breaking... We head out on Wednesday,, have to get everything set up up here,,, mail/keys/notices etc... then we hit the road.. hoping we will be able to have uncomplicated weather for the trip.
Deb aka OneRedZinnia will host the next swap... but for now my daughter will retrieve all the minis sort them and return mail them to all...

Slight change of plans... hubby and I decided that it would be better ifI fly back to SO.CAL... rather then the 2 of us locking up the house for who
knows how long.. so I fly out of Spokane on Saturday ...
Mom is still in the hospital... today they Inserted a feeding tube today.
She will be in the rehabilitate ward of the hospital for the next 2 weeks...
and then hopefully we can bring her home and set up a home care staff tor her.
It's going to be a long slow road for her... but she deserves the best...
So my hubby will receive.. sort and mail out all the aprons... take pity on him ladies! Lol!
