I luv our little feathered visitors..
on any given day we have an assortment of birds,, from lil finches and sparrows to white dove to quails,,, lots of quail!!!
They love to come visit... well,,, that and the fact that 2X a day I put seed feed out for them...lol!

I can hardly wait for the 1st Robins to appear as well as the Meadow Larks singing sweetly to me in the mornings...

You will love them until they start dusting themselves and leaving large holes behind. They are worse than a chicken. But I love them too.

Growing up we had a ton of quail at our house. My mom will still send me pictures of them when they are crossing her yard. I think they are cute little guys!

Oh I love that pic! Love quail. Growing up in Texas, my dad bought a ranch in the hill country when I was a baby. It had so many quail that the ranch is named “Quail Run”. Unfortunately, as the natural grasses disappeared all over Texas, and the fire ants took over, the quail population declined. The population is doing better now, but not what it was before.
Love seeing the quail in this picture. Aren’t they the cutest!?

Nicole,, it's so sad to see when 'humans' interfere with nature,, and sometimes Nature itself creates havoc...
I get the biggest grin every day when they strut by,,, now they don't even freak out when I am outside,, they just scoot on by.. and a couple are brave enough,,that they sit at then end of the driveway as I sprinkle out the seed...
Even my Darling hubby doesn't mind going out 1st thing in the morning to clear the snow off the driveway so we can put seed out for all of our little birdie buddies.

I, too, love the quail and all feathered friends! We have quail that frequent our back yard as well, my favorite is when they bring their new babies through, such darling little fluffy things!! We also have two hills of lavender in our back yard which the finches LOVE come fall time... it's common for us to have 100's of finchies on each hill devouring the lavender seeds. One of my favorite times of year to watch them flutter around! Enjoy!

April,, I hear you.. luv our feathered friends..
In the Spring it's the Robins and Meadow Larks... as well as the mountain blue birds..
Our quail, finches, and assorted other feathered friends are always a delight to watch..

I have to laugh,,, this lil guy is quit comfortable around us,, he likes to hang out by the window,,, hmm, wonder if he is actually watching the TV through the window...lol!
