I have been packing up and stocking up stuff for my trip, to Elk River in Idaho...
I even pulled out some of my flamingo deco,, including the ones I got from VT Oma....
and I found the sunglasses at the Thrift for,,, $1 SCORE!
gonna do a total flamingo frenzie around my trailer..
Flamingos Rule!

Well... go figure... got a call from my sister, that mom is having some issues...and headed to the hospital...
I canceled my camping trip because the lil town has minimal cell service... iffy at best... so my phone works off and on depending on where I am standing plus it is a good 3 hour drive to get home...
I am on stand-by... to hear what is going on with mom... so far it sounds like a glitche with her pace maker ... today they are doing a procedure on it...
I am staying close to home to wait and see.... in case I need to fly back to Calif.
But, I slept out in my lil Scotty last nite and had Ginger with me. I think she would have rather stayed in the house with hubby... so she woke me at a little after 4 am.... yep, we staggered into the house...and she jumped up on the bed with hubby...unfortunately I was wide awake at that point... so I went into my sewing room and got busy...
I am going to sleep out in the trailer tonite but this time with out Ginger!!!

So sorry about your mom Grace. Hope she will be OK. I wish my mom was alive and I could cancel something to see her. Glad you are still camping out. I have even stayed in our cabin by myself a time or two when I needed to be alone and think. Was creepy though. I like to watch murder shows on TV and being alone in the woods doesn't sit well with me. Anyway I will pray fo your mom.

Cj, I hear ya,,, DH and I had to run into Spokane to buy a screen door,, when we got back,, we saw on the news, that a portion of Medival Lake , which is were we live,, was in a stage-3 evac... but with in the hour was called down to a stage-2.
Pretty scary.. In fact 2 of my friends who managed to go camping with our group,, ended up leaving their trailers behind and dashing home to get their property ready for evacuation...
Calif., has something like 17 fires,, we have 3 big ones going on here in WA.. and you guys are just recovering from a horrible one, with another one flaring up... Global Warming, Scary...

This morning we couldn't see any of the mountains around us because of the smoke. It is, as of noon, starting to lift. In June, there were two big, terrible ones close to us and now there are two new ones in the area. Seems like the western half of the US is just burning up!!! And it makes me wonder about the resources of firefighters, equipment, etc. available to help with it all!
I hope you don't have to evacuate!

yep,, scary... they got the Medical Lake (it was a large bit of vacant/field/land).. scary non the less...
and the winds,,, yikes! they just fan the fires...
Stay safe,,, and I hope all of those in the path of the current fires will be safe.

Hi Krista.... I had to cancel my camping trip at the last minute, I got a call that mom was going back into the hospital... so I. Was on standby to fly home... the next morning my sister called and told me the hospital was releasing mom...
turns out her pace maker was having a battery issue.
But everything is fine now.
So I Won't be flying back... I will be baby sitting my grandkiddos for a week while my daughter is back in Texas. She returns on the 17th.... so I. Will wait till after she returns before I fly back to California.
