Love your pics Winnie! Sounds just perfect in all you mention. Love seeing everyone's beautiful pics as well. I can hardly wait. It is so very hot here and very humid as well.

Winnie, I love your fall bucket list! I think I am going to have my family work on this list. It will be so much fun and I can already picture all the fun my boys would have.

I'm ready now, bring it on! I was dragging my feet a couple weeks ago, wishing and hoping desperately for a long Indian summer, I was not ready to give up my long and hot summer days and nights, but the fall bug has bitten... Our mornings have grown chilly and days are getting shorter. So, been cleaning and dusting, preparing to put out all my fall decor this werkend! Mostly fall ghourds, pumpkins and fall foiliage, gets me thru the season for both Halloween and Thanksgiving! Happy fall to all!

OK Farmgirls...just two more days until the meteorological beginning of Fall!! I read that the reason weather experts use September 1-November 30 as the Fall season guidelines is because the changing of global winds, sea temperatures, and other atmospheric conditions begin much earlier than the Equinox date for Fall. By starting the season on September 1, weather patterns and tracking for Fall are more accurately recorded for the season. For example, they show that high and low temps for Fall are more likely to fit into this timeframe than if we go by the Equinox or Solstice dates. So that means that anyone itching, like ME, to get fall decorations out, have at it this weekend!! LOL!! We will be right on track with weather professionals!!

I am, itching for my Fall decorating to start. But I will wait another week and then get started. I sure hope temps will drop in my area soon. Sights and smells of Fall will help get everything started at least.

Absolutely Sara!!! Let the countdown begin!! Meanwhile it is pouring rain.....yet again, and my plans to go out and dig out the porch fall decorations are on hold. As soon as the rain stops, I will get out to the cabinet and see what shape everything is in. Last year, I did more outdoor decorating and it was so enjoyable to me that I had a hard time taking it down in December!! LOL!!!

Anyone else want to join in the fun? Also ,September 1 also kicks off our Annual MJF Apple Festival Month!! Yay for the love of Apples and their many delicious dishes we enjoy !!

I usually wait until September to bring out the fall decorations but I can't wait!!!! I love the colors. I also dragged out some already dyed reeds in fall colors to weave a potato basket. Need one. Want to bake some pumpkin bread, call me crazy....

Winnie,
I love the book in your photo, "Pumpkin Moonshine". I have a copy and I love Tasha Tudor.

I'm with you Sara! Let the celebrating begin.

I have my fall decor out and will get some photos to share as soon as I can.

I used to live in Asheville---beautiful place. I am so ready for fall! Summer has finally beat me up. I am hot, sweaty. sunburnt, bee stung and bug bitten. The kitchen and basement are full of veggies waiting to be put into jars and freezer bags. Everything is dirty and messy---me included. I am so tired at the end of the day that I can barely walk. Glad the hummers are leaving. They were eating a gallon a day---five feeders to be filled twice a day. Oh peaceful winter days I am so ready for you! First to gather a ton of firewood. Life do get tedious---LOL.

Barbara, our daughter lives in Asheville and I love going to visit her. That 360 degree view of the mountains at all times just warms my heart and makes me happy!! I think those of us in the South are all ready to hang up our fall aprons and pull out the flannel shirts! It has been one long hot stinkin' season this year!! LOL!! Oh my your freezer is going to be full of some great garden veggies come the cold wet days of 2019. Hmmmm, a nice hot vegetable soup on the stove to enjoy by the fire sounds very cozy and yummy right now!!

Decorated the house for fall this weekend - heat index - heat schmindex!!! lol

I use a lot of fall leaf garland and white lights - faux pumpkins, etc. I've had the wreath up on the front door since last weekend.

Looking forward to some cooler temps soon!

Today I swapped out my spring/summer decor for my autumn. A lot of work, but it is cheering me up to no end. I'm completely ignoring our 92 degrees out today! Autumn can't get here soon enough weather wise for me!

I'm with you Dawn. I am just biding my time inside until next week when we get out of the 90's with the 100's heat indexes. My guys have to work in it and I know they will be grateful.

I love all these wonderful photos. Really gets one in the mood for all the fun fall has to offer!

OK,,, hubby & I had to run down to the far east side of Spokane (25min drive) to the Lowes to pick up irrigation stuff and a AMP box thingie... so as we were almost home,, I told DH to pull into the Starbucks .. and he did. So in celebration of Fall/Autumn,,, I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte,, ya ya, I know,, a gazillion calories... but.... I figured, we are having a frofro salad for dinner so I could justify that Latte... Well dang,, I am sooo disappointed,, the service was uber slow,,, and by the time I got my Latte, the whip cream melted to non existent,, but the real bummer was,, the pumpkin latte just wasn't all that great as I remembered it... I usually only go to (SB once a year)...
But that didn't dampen my spirits for celebrating Fall/Autumn... cuz my daughter & I are heading out to town tomorrow for some junktiquing and craft store cruising... lol!
Bring on the Fall décor... got my 40% off coupons in my billfold.... lol!
