I have a non-traditional tree this year - my second year for this one. And I love my farmgirl tree - a decorated old ladder. Ed went overboard with the lights this year (5 strings) and my grand twins hung my quilt-swap homemade ornaments on it. The topper is a grey beaver Stetson and a red and green plaid wool scarf.

What does your Christmas tree look like?

Linda, your tree is so clever and fun!! It seems like a perfect idea for A Texas Christmas too. Lenora, your trees are beautiful! The ceramic tree reminds me of my Mom, sho made little ones for each of us kids. I will have it up again this year because it wouldn't be right if I didn't have it out to enjoy. Thanks for sharing!! I plan to get our tree up next weekend.

Lenora - I also have a ceramic tree. I haven't gotten it out yet. I love your trees.

Winnie - my theme for this year and years to come - is the red pickup with a tree in the back. I love everything with that on it - I have kitchen towels, so far. And patterns for two quilted wall hangings and a trere skirt with the same theme. They won't be done for this year, though. LOL!

L0ve all the trees. I wish I could post pictures---I will learn. I have three trees---one in pinks with an angel theme---one with an animal theme and one in fall colors. Have cut back a lot of decorating as I have gotten older.

Love the trees. I painted so many of those ceramic trees in the 70s. I didn't wind up with not one! As soon as I would finish one.somebody wanted to buy it. My tree is not done yet.

My sister made my ceramic tree for me many years ago. Ed and I saw several of them in an antique shop we went into last Saturday.

I haven't put up a tree because I have a VERY ACTIVE cat that would assuredly undecorate it and create mayhem with it. Maybe I'll try in a couple years when she's older

Cats can be catastrophic with Christmas trees. We had one like that, too.

We have six cats and always have a Christmas tree---even when they were kittens. I can scream so loud that they soon gave up the idea of bothering it.

I have had my share of Cat and Christmas Tree stories! Mine are all too old, they sleep under it! I got mine almost done. 1 more box of old ornaments. In case Rex gets to come home Saturday, it will be all done for him to enjoy and Lily June.

Me too Linda! Mine is a collection of ornaments over the years. My lights burned out last year. Bought this tree in August at hobby lobby. Last one lasted almost 10 years!!

Gorgeous Connie...how did you have the energy??? My Christmas Tree is just a small TableTop one this year. And I barely had the energy for that one and a few other decorations
around the Apartment and out in the Foyer.

I much prefer my big purple tree...but God definitely told me to "Rest In Him This Year" and so I am trying to enjoy The Season and The Reason...this year even more.

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

We aren't going to be here for Christmas as we are going to our daughter's in Phoenix so I did a bit less decorating than usual. We have no family here any longer to celebrate with either.

That's a great tree, Peggy.
Next year we won't be decorating, either, CJ. We will be on a cruise down the Danube starting Dec 12 and then staying in Germany with friends until New Years.
