Remember when these bed spreads were popular? I bought this one at sale last year for $1.oo. Can't beat that price. It reminded me of the ones we had on some of the beds at the farm when I was growing up. So I was looking on line and it seems they might be making a comeback.

That looks more like a chenille bedspread than a tufted one. I love the chenille bedspsreads, especially the multi-colored ones. You got a good deal for $1.00.

I too love chenille bedspreads. We had them when I was young too. They are readily available today---you are right. I have used one for years in my guest room.

Nancy...that is one of the Prettiest Chenille Bedspreads I have ever seen! And only a $1.00 ~ Girlfriend you really scored.
Linda...I have never seen a multi-colored one. My mom had a medium blue chenille with a baby-blue swirl over the top. Like a 2 dimensional.
I'm not of fan of Blue but it was my Mom's favorite Color.
Barbara...I don't think they have ever completely gone away...but you are right in the fact that it seems they have a small resurgence in
popularity as of late. Maybe it is the Farmgirls creating the demand! LOL

Peggy - I have seen some of the bedspreads with large bouguet of flowers in the middle - all different colors: green leaves, pink, yellow, blue flowers, etc. They are very pretty. I see them fairly often in thrift shops. I have one hanging in a closet - it is either white with purple or blue design. I'll try to find and take a picture.

My folks had a bedspread with knots on it. We would sleep on it and wake up with bumps on our faces.
