Ok, got a few more projects finished,, then I went out and bought more fabric... just call me "The 1 Yard Wonder".. I buy 1 yard,, then I wonder what to make with it! lol!
As you can see, I have another table topper in the works (asst brown/tan strips)
I will chop these up and then stitch back together and then add the mottled tan fabric for the backing. I finished a little 'purse' for my friends granddaughter, (from a jean pocket)
and I think I will make a misc... holder from some other jean pockets and burlap...
I had this cute little crochet flower ( I didn't make it & can't remember where I got it).. I stitched on a brooch pin to the back added the big pearl and now I can wear it...

I forgot to post these photos..
I luv crafting with decorated jeans pockets... The hangy-thingy.. not uit sure what I will do with it yet... I could put it in one of the trailers to hang and then use to store extra reading glasses, keys, pens/pencils.. etc...
and this is what I meant when I said I was going to chop up the strips,, I re-alined them and now to finish assembling it.. hopefully I will get time to finish the table topper tomorrow...

Grace, that is what I was thinking. Maybe if the pockets are larger you could also use one in the bathroom for your comb, bobby pins, elastics, travel hair spray, etc. A good way to stay organized in the bathroom. Love your table topper.

You are more organized with your sewing room, I think, Grace. Will you come for a visit and help me organize? I will pay you in fabric! LOL!

dear one yard wonder, you do a wonderful job with your 1 yard, way to go. Those are pretty fancy pockets too. You sure have been a busy bee, getting all your projects done before you start camping for the season. You got projects lined up to take along?

Grace, you are the 1 yard Queen!! So many cute and useful projects come from those random 1 yards. Your new table top runner will be perfect for Fall with some pumpkins and fall leaves etc. It would also make a fantastic runner for the Thanksgiving table! I can see candles and a bowl of fruit and a few paper turkeys about for decorations!!

Wow Winnie, you are so right! I pictured everything you were saying as I read that! I think it would look perfect for Thanksgiving. How about a cornucopia? You could always make one with the grandkids. You have a gorgeous table runner perfect for fall.

I absolutely love the pocket purses. I have some granddaughters that would love them. We have a thrift store close to me that sells the pockets from jeans for 5 cents each. I could pick out any of the pockets I want and make cute purses for little girls. It would be great to make them some to add to their Christmas boxes.
