I was very sad to hear on the radio this morning about Doris Day's passing at age 97. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. I loved her singing and her movies. She was truly a lady in every sense of the word and will be sorely missed.

RIP Doris Day! Truly a role model for my time! I also adore her. With no momma I paid attention when Dad liked an actress and she one of the classy ladies by his standards and so mine too!

So sad! And even sadder that the on line news did not report. Too much other garbage that fills our feed. Thanks Dawn for letting me know. She was a Cincinnati girl, where I was born and raised. Her last name was Kappelhoff. A West Side German girl! Andy Williams was from Cincy too! Another great voice.
Thanks again Dawn! I would not have known

Another icon leaves us with memories... my all time favorite D.D. movie.. "Annie Get Your Gun"...
I luv'd when she sang, "Anything you can do, I can do better!"...
She was also a savior of dogs, she would rescue strays and bring them home,, then she started the Doris Day Animal Rescue,, which has since joined/merged with another Rescue organization....
We will miss her.
