Hi guys! My 10 yo has decided she wants to do a presentation of sorts, of the different ladybug species, for 4H. I was wondering if any of you would be willing to see if you can find any ladybugs for me, and mail them to us?

When mailing bugs, please first freeze them in a cuplike container and mail the whole container. Freezing them helps them stay fresh a little longer and is a more humane way to kill them. And remember, the postal machines will smash anything in an envelope!

Thank you guys so much!!!

Sorry Shannon. We haven't had any ladybugs either. My mothers house is usually covered in them. Such an off year for all of us I suppose. Good luck to your daughter. I hope she finds some.

Found some in our hay field. They're in the freezer right now. I'll let you know when I get to the PO. It should be the end of this week or beginning of next.

Oh my stars!I finally spotted 3 today while weeding In the Iris garden, but I am so sorry, I forgot to gather them up.
How is your daughter's project coming along?
I didn't notice any lady bugs in my sister's yard while I was in California. This past week. Hmmmm.

Are you still looking for ladybugs Shannon? I plan to be in the garden as much as possible as soon as I am free from work today, I will send some to you if you still need them. Let me know.
