Hello Everyone,
Miss all of you and think of my Farm Sisters often. I sure have been busy, but I hope life will slow down again and I can find time to join in again.
CJ, I have been keeping you in my prayers. Hope for God's best for you.
Hope everyone is enjoining summer. Sure wish it wasn't so hot and humid though. The garden loves the weather. It's looking great this year except for our lettuce. Didn't realize how late it is. Guess I need to go to bed. Night all.

Stay in touch, Brenda. Life won't be busy all the time, and you'll have time for a longer visit.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes.
Well last week was CBS. I did the crafts and snacks. My cousin Melissa helped me put together some of the crafts, but I did the snacks. It was a lot of fun working with the kids. Several others helped the kids make their projects. This might be my job next year too lol.... Others did lots of work in other areas. It was a great success.
Nothing seems to be slowing down for me. Beans, pickles zucchini, and blackberries. Soon tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant will be ready.
The joys of summer and good eating in the cold weather.
I also decided to teach myself to spin wool with a drop spindle. I seem to be getting the hang of it. Would love to spin enough yarn to knit myself a sweater. We'll see if I actually accomplish this goal. Going to give it a good try.
How is it going with all of you?

Howdy Brenda! I am so glad you have reconnected and shared what you have been up to lately. We all know how life can get so busy that there just isn't time to keep all the balls in the air!! Summer does seem to always be extra busy with special harvests to put up, longer days to be outdoors with all kinds of activities too. Good luck with the drop spinning project. I took a class with it once and spun enough yarn to knit a a cowl. My problem was keeping the tension even so that the yarn was not too tight or too loose. My finished yarn I made was like knitting rubber bands because of my tension irregularities. However, knitting a thick cowl with my wool just ended up with that “artisan wool look" . Keep up your efforts and don't get discouraged like I did. If you do end up making something knitted, please share it here as I am still thinking I should try the entire process again. Practice and patience is what I need to commit to!
