What do you do when you know you need to be out in your garden pruning.. but just don't feel up to it???

Me?,, I hide out in my sewing room and make a Mess!!!

But I did manage to get some machine embroidery done as well!

stitched up a cute 'Cat Love' design...

a Soccer motif for my friends in Germany...

a cute lil tractor...

and on a T-shirt I bought at the Dollar Tree store...

this is the truer colors...

Well, shoot... now I need to clean up my sewing room... or... I could go outside and do some pruning!
lolol!

When I am too tired to work I like to rest on the bed and listen to the creek---it rejuvenates me with its calming sound and I usually doze off a little while. If I'm not sleepy I like to drink a cup of tea and watch the ID channel---a nasty, mysterious murder always gives me the creeps and I am all too anxious to get busy again and just be happy to be alive.

Love the embroidery, Grace! So fun! I usually find myself in my office / craft room dinking around on something... I find it calming and relaxing to be creative!

I know that feeling..... it's like I have things I could be doing....... but I'm feeling lazy....... but I can't brings myself to do absolutely nothing cuz I would feel guilty...... so I sit and do hand embroidery and binge watch something. Yesterday was like that. It was fun. Today I have to get my fanny in gear and do the stuff I didn't do yesterday.

As usual , I have way too many things going at once, but my best way to just deal with restlessness is to make a cup of coffee and sit down with a book and read for awhile. It is always good to take my mind off of the things I want to get done, and learn about something else or lose myself in a good historical fiction story!!

I also have way too many things going on at once. Don't know what to do first sometimes. I am cleaning the house bit by bit - I have 12-16 ladies here for Bunco on Friday the 13th. I am not the minimalist housekeeper that some are, and the gals know it, but I like to be as clean as possible. LOL! These hardwood floors are terrible - they seem to grow cat hair at the drop of a hat. 5 minutes after I vacuum, if the cat has walked down the hall, the floor is covered with cat hair.

I declare it a piddling day and whatever gets done at the end of the day was on the to-do list under piddle. (I know Grace has another definition for piddle but here in Texas it means a little of this and that and a whole lot of nothing.)

With My Fibromyalgia...I find myself TOO TIRED too often. But I have found a craft that helps me relax and that IS DIAMOND PAINTING. I try to do it mostly after hubby
has gone to bed. I put in my earbuds and listen usually to a Cozy Mystery while I Diamond Paint. I have probably done close to 30 Diamond Projects (maybe more) and
it helps me unwind from the day and whatever it brought into my life...like stresses of any kind...and so when my head finally hits the pillow about 1:00 am I fall to
sleep relatively fast. A Good Book and a Diamond Painting is just what The Dr. Ordered!!!

Peggy

Thank you Sara! Two piddling days in a row! I'm a lucky girl. Maybe today I'll make some ATCs and do some zentangling. That sounds pretty piddling altho I already have a load in the washer so I guess Im multitasking.

Grace, I'm not very familiar with machine embroidery. So are these designs on your machine? Or do you purchase the design and embroider it on?

Krista,, I purchase them on-line and then download onto my computer,, then when I want to use it, send it to my machine via a USB cord.
Pretty easy..
Oregonpatchwork,,, embroiderydesigns,, ibroidery are 3 good sites.

Love the embroidery Grace. It seems like I have less energy in the summer than any other time of year. One would think winter would be the lazy time of year. I just can't take a lot of sun. I burn so easy. I will pull my sewing machine out this winter and make some things. I have never done a lot of sewing but I am sure willing to learn.

What I luv about having a embroidery machine... is that if I need a quickie gift,, I can embroider cloth napkins, or hankies of make a personalized 'mug rug'... etc...
and sometimes I just embroider designs on 6x6" pieces of cloth to save for a later project (like a small quilt)

Oh and Lori,, I hear ya,, I get more sewing projects finished in the winter...because I am not outside like I am in the summer...lol!
