Lots of Flags flying around here. Love to see that. We leave out flag up until very late Fall, or as long as we can weather wise.
Hard to get a perfect picture, really windy today

I just realized we don't have a place to put a flag here at our new house. We need to fix that.

We have 5 flags up along the fence. We have a 20? foot flagpole up in the front yard that is always up, with a light on it at night.

I haven't found our large display flag,, it's probably out in the Barn in one of the containers..
So I used a small flag and stuck it out front between my roses.. You can't really see our house from the road... so it was just for our own pleasure.

Our old house back in Coarsegold, CA., we had a Flag pole by our entrance driveway and flew our flag daily with a light on it at dusk. We would go through 2 flags a year,,, then we contacted the Boy Scouts to give the tattered flag to.. I think it is great that they have a special ceremony to dispose of the flag properly.

you can see the flag pole... (2015), and my sweet Peekie,, who went over the Rainbow Bridge 2 years ago... and I still miss here...

We keep ours out all year except on bad weather days. When our flags get tattered dh burns them. Having been military he knows how to dispose of them properly. I have a little pamphlet I picked up years ago on the U.S. flag. Very interesting. There's just something about seeing a house with a flag flying.
