So I was out and about today and stopped in to a local yard sale. I gave this a new home. .jpg?v 1665398)
Found a couple other things too. The book was free. It's a small paperback. Thought I'd enjoy perusing it while I havea cup of tea.

How awesome, Denise! What great finds! So happy for you! You know, the BHG cookbook has been a staple in outlr family circle for years! We all have the ring bound book. I remember how brown the pages of my Mom's book became over the years. Mine actually fell apart from use! Lol! Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!!

My big BHG book is falling apart Nini. I just keep fixing it. This one is a neat little pocket size. I've been looking through some of the recipes.

That is a great sewing chest/box. I love it. Great find.
I also have a BHG cookbook - And I have a cookbook of my mothers that is so taped up and covered with shelf paper you can't see the title. LOL!

Ohhh, love the sewing box! My head is spinning with refurb ideas! My dh would say leave it be! I have the cookbook, a gift from my mother,God rest her soul. I miss going to yard sales. Super find Denise!!

Oh Denise, IF it were something I found, I'd probably strip.the old paint off, sand well, paint with milk paint and distress, find some happy floral papers or napkins, decoupage and then sand THAT down to give it a ditressed look then cover in a finishing satin of some sort. :D just in my busy mind!!! Hahaha!!

I love that sewing box, what a find Denise. I have my grandmas Betty Crocker cookbook from the 50's and a few newer editions. All are treasures. Those cups would be good to keep tea warm on the porch on a cool day. What great finds.

Great finds! I have 2 sewing boxes that are similar - neither have long legs like yours does. Looks like it would be chair height? Maybe?
(Might have to borrow Dianna's idea on one of them)

Don't you just love those cookbooks. I got a Betty Crocker one when I got married. It's been taped and has so many things on it. My kids learned to cook with some of those recipes.
Deb, The top of the chest is chair height. Works great for keeping things neat when I am doing my handwork projects.
