WindyPines~Michele,, I do double layer,, so they are reversible. That way, if one side gets stained,, the other side is still good... and if both sides get stained.. then you must really like to cook a lot!! lolol!

Nini... Did you say Chocolate??? Did I mention I am a Chocolateoholic??? snorks-n-giggles!

Oooooh, I love all the things you Farmgirls are working on. I can't talk about my stuff yet, because everything I'm making, I am also making to go in the Christmas Stocking swap. LOL. Except for the set of Football coasters I am making for DH -- He keeps snagging the mug rugs I make for swaps. . . . and then I have to make more. And of course y'all already know that I am making a new wine bottle dress and a Christmas Stocking. Making more of both of those too as gifts for friends and family.

April thanks for the picture, they look really neat in the dark. I started looking for idea on pinterest using the fairy lights. I have not found any solar ones yet. Either battery or plug in. Thanks Grace, I saw they make the covers in single or double layer, and I kind of thought double might be a better idea.

Julie -

I made a Christmas Jelly Roll Race quilt king size using strips from all of my Christmas fabrics. I love it! I love scrappy quilts. I also made another Christmas scrappy quilt that uses 6-1/2" squares. The Jelly Roll quilt has the squares for a border and for the squares border I used strips. Didn't make a dent in my Christmas fabrics. I need to make a few more for my son and his family. LOL!

Grace, Michele, here's a daytime photo.of my garden fairy lights! It's winter here already, and snowed last two days, so, no pretty flowers showing in between the lights...

You're welcome, Michele. I've also seen bird feeders and bird baths made with recycled glass pieces, they turn out really pretty if you like that sort of thing. :-)

Hmmm I wonder if I can make Tea cup Fairy lights, using tea cups and the fairy lights, maybe the solar type..
........
I use to make 'tea cup and saucer' bird feeders, that was easy to add/remove from a 3' copper pipe...
I know I have some old photos, somewhere..
I used K600 glue epoxy, and glued the tea cup to a saucer,, then glued on a piece, 3" long dowel and fit the 'feeder' into the pipe.. that way I could remove the cup/saucer for weekly cleanings.. I also glued on a teaspoon across the saucer, as a perch for the birdies...
I will hunt for the photos.... it's been 14years since I made them.

That's why I am thinking tea cup lights near my feeders would be sweet...

Agree! Katmom! I just tried to create a teacup bird feeder on a rod iron stake, but its still wobbly, think I need to redo! I like E6000 glue too! Dries sturdy! Please send pictures of yours, would love some inspiration!

I am working on some gifts but because my daughters are on the forum I can't say exactly what.
April the idea from Shutterfly is awesome! I need to remember that.

Remember a couple of days ago I mentioned working on football coasters for my DH. Well they turned out so cool, I made a couple for my son too. DH is a Seahawks fan (lime green/navy) and son is a Rams fan (blue/gold). So here they are. I'm really tickled with how they turned out. After the first one I remembered I had an old leather purse a friend had given me for my book making. It was perfect to use for the footballs. So they are actually real leather.

Hey there, Grace, What is DH's first name? Santa just might put one in your December ornament package which is being worked on. It is a Kimberbell in-the-hoop design that can be done in a 5x7 hoop. And, yes, our Hawks started out so great this season but have gone down the you know what lately.

Such cute projects everyone. Jean, I love the coasters. I am working on zippered cosmetic bags for the granddaughters to put in thier backpacks and fabric Norwegian star ornaments for package toppers. I need to make some Christmas masks for all family members so should get started on that soon as well.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

I have made hanging kitchen towels, not sure what they are called, and potholders for gifts. Working on flannel pants for all the grandkids now. 2 done, 5 to go.
