Does anyone have a clue as to what plant/tree/bush this is? It is in our front yard, we inherited it when we bought our home. We live in Coos Bay Oregon about 30 minutes from the beach.
I can not say I like it but it is unique! The l leaves are just huge.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Thanks to some folks in town I now know what this is. I have been told I am very lucky to have it!

Gunnera is the sole genus of herbaceous flowering plants in the family Gunneraceae, which contains 63 species. Some species have extremely large leaves. Species in the genus are variously native to Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Papuasia, Hawaii, insular Southeast Asia, Africa and Madagascar. I can not wait it to produce flowers, I will post pictures.

It almost looked like a large rhubarb plant at first. Glad you were able to figure it out. I can’t wait to see the flowers it produces!

Oh you just do not know. They are big like huge Elephant ears. I take a picture and give you reference.
