My Hubby wanted a new puppy really bad and FINALLY talked me into it. We went and picked up this little girl today from our neighbors who had puppies. The kids just love her so much already. He named this sweet girl Athena. Now I just hope potty training goes super fast lol!

She is a beautiful puppy. My late grandparents had one like her when I was a baby. Somewhere is a picture of me as a 1 year old curled up sound asleep with my head on their dog's side. I hope she will be easy to potty train! Have fun with your new family addition.

Awwwww, Krista, she is beautiful and what a sweet face! I am sure the kids will love and play with her and the older ones might be able to assist until she is potty trained.

She is a Mini Golden Doodle/ Australian Shepard. Sadly Athena returned back to her mother. She was very abusive towards Bexten. He is crawling everywhere now and she would pounce on his back scratching and biting him. He was getting so many scratches and sores that he was becoming afraid of her and being on the floor. It wasn't fair toward her to always be locked up so she wouldn't hurt him. We had no clue it was going to be like that. It was heartbreaking, but we did what was best for Bexten and her.

You did the right thing Krista. Bexten is your first priority. I know it is hard, but I'm sure Athena can find the right home.

Krista, I’m so sorry that you had to make that decision, but I agree with Lisa. Bexten is your first priority and you don’t want to create a fear of dogs in him. Hugs to you.

Oh Krista I'm so sorry you had to return the puppy. I once had to re-home a cat for the same reason. He went to a home with a golden retriever and learned who was boss real quick! My friend told me quite often what a great cat he was. I'm sure Athena will go to the right home and I hope some day you will find the right puppy for you & your family.

Thank you ladies for making me feel better. It has been pretty heartbreaking for me and I was actually feeling guilty. It is nice knowing I am not the only one. I really hope she finds a home with older kids who she can chase around and be super loved up on. For now Bexten does better with our calm dogs.
