Amy, that sounds perfect!

Juanita, I am also praying for you!

Mel, praying for you and your move :)

I just got through cutting fabric scraps into strips. I will be learning how to crochet a rag rug. I have never crocheted before so I am excited :)

That is really fun Sharon. I teach my crochet classes how to make t-shirt yarn. It works up fast with a Q hook and makes nice rugs.

Gorgeous quilt Diana....another example of your consistently lovely work! :)

Thanx Sharon for the prayers for my move. My great aunt used to make rag rugs, my grandma used to have them all over her house. It's a fun way to learn the basics.

I bought these tiered flower displays for my daughter's wedding several years ago. I got antsy this weekend and opened a can of lime green spray paint and gave one a tropical look. I would like to paint the other yellow and plant fairy gardens in them.
I'm also sprucing up a back porch side table.

So pretty! I'm planning an indoor fairy herb garden with my granddaughter, but haven't found the container yet. Thanks for sharing, Vanessa, you've given me some grand inspiration to be a little more creative in my search!

My daughter and SIL took us to Bluebird Gap Farm, which is near Newport News, VA. They have fowl, llamas, alpaci, tortoises and wonderful flowers. Here's a picture of a fairy garden.
They also had a solar-powered hula girl shakin' it next to a grass hut. Best of all, the park is free (donations encouraged).

Diana that is a beautiful quilt!!!
Vanessa I love the color for the display, would make a good fairy garden.

I finished (for the most part) my sewing area. The room was this color when I moved in, but it's got a futon for reading, stitching or contemplating projects and a sewing table. The machine is still in my dining room which is a complete disaster..

Wow, Denise, your fixed up sewing room is wonderful! I love the bright bold colors. It all sounds like you will have it organized to be efficient and a great retreat to work on your projects!

Vanessa, that gnome garden is precious!!

We haven't seen what everyone has been doing lately! Thought I'd bump this thread up so we could "catch up"!

I've made a few aprons, made some "lap bibs" for a friend's mother who is in the nursing home in a wheelchair. She wanted something to tie across from the w/c arms across her mother's lap with pockets for her to put things in. I made four different ones and she "loves them"! I was kinda shooting in the dark with this one but what I came up with works perfectly, she says!

Also some projects for the glamper trailer, such a flower boxes for the windows and am repurposing a chandelier to use solar lights for a glamping/outdoor chandelier.

Here's a pic of one of the flower boxes. There are four, the flowers are all the same, but the arrangement may vary a bit!

Diana - I love the quilt!
Vanessa - Love the tiered fairy garden idea.
Denise - your sewing area in so nice - and neat. My dining room table is piled with projects in various stages of completion.
CeeJay - Love the flower box - so fresh and welcoming. Maybe one of these days I will get a glamper of my own.

In July I finished 5 quilt tops, took 3 of them to the longarm quilter, and now have them back and need to put the binding on. I have at least 10-12 quilts that need binding. Somehow that step gets set aside. I am working on a "Mount Hood" Nickel Quilt out of one of Pat Speth's books, using a box of 5" squares I've collected.
I have so many projects on my to-do/UFO list that I hardly know where to start. Plus - I just bought the quilt pattern called "Campers" and have started getting together fabrics for the campers in this quilt.
Then there are the smaller projects - microwave bowl potholders, aprons, cup cozies, mug rugs, and loads of other things.
It's nice to see everyone getting projects done.

I just discovered the cutest apron pattern in one of my quilt books. I'm going to make one - then I will post it. It is different than any I've seen.

Today I am working on MJF swap projects - August gingerbread boy spool ornament, Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving table runner, and cutting Christmas 10" squares for swap. I am hosting the last two swaps I mentioned. Hope you will check it out and join in.
I'm also making a monthly block for a quilt group I'm in and trying to clean up my craft/quilt areas - in the house and in the separate little house out back.

Love the camp stool Cee Jay! Love the fabric! I have 2 camp stools I got at a garage sale. They are wooden frames with canvas seats and they are still very usable, but will recover them when needed.

I also like re-purposing and recycling - I have an old seat-less chair on the porch I want to paint and retrofit with a round board with a hole in it so I can put a potted plant in it. I also have another chair I want to paint with white chalk paint and make a cushion and skirt for my new bathroom that is almost finished. I added it because the only small bathroom in this old house had a shower, and sometimes I want a nice hot bath!
