I found a few beautiful ripe tomatoes with holes just like that this morning. The dang culprit? Roly-poly bugs....grrr

Inside me there is a skinny girl crying to get out, but I can usually shut her up with cookies.

You have my sympathy too! I have a vegetable patch at our community garden and I planted the 3 sisters method for corn, beans, and squash, pumpkins, and watermelons along the borders of my plot. Between the neighboring plots massive weeds and the prickly leaves of the vines I have been lucky to keep the bug population out. Knock on wood!

Good luck getting rid of these pests before they clean you out!

I need to do some research on various companion gardening,,, I had read that planting Dill next to tomatoes deters Horm Worms,,, but on the flip side, Dill is a self seeder and like onions will 'toss' seeds everywhere,,, but for now I'll offer up the worms to my local bird population, I'll place them out in the bird feeding area.
Wi Win,, unless you are the worm! lol!

Oh No! Worm Jerks! Just about as bad as the squirrel jerks who are bent on destroying everything I love. Hope the worms go away!!!

Grace, In our new place, we have seen one deer on the other side of the fence!! The worst thing I have found is a slug. That is pretty gross, but they don't or haven't done much damage. We are settled in pretty much with all the outside stuff. I'll work on the inside stuff when the weather changes.
