I'm asking for prayers for our housing situation. Our current rental home is making me sick due to mold and a few other issues. We've been looking to buy our own home but don't have enough credit, due to paying cash and no loans. Anyway, we finally found a property that my husband and I agree on and the owner would carry contract!!!! Right now we need to come up with a down payment, and its way less than we expected. *only* 10,000. We could get that by selling a vehicle or two that we own, but that means our assests aren't liquid and being at the end of the year, stuff just doesn't sell that quickly. Anyway, we just found out another couple is trying to come up with the finances as well. We are praying for God's guidance and provision, if this is the place we are to have as "home". Its close enough to the school we want to send our littles too, no covenants so we can have our chickens and goats(yay!) a nice garden, it's own well, plus its off the road,NO highway noise (double yay!) and it backs up to public land!!! The house is a manufactured home but its clean and totally liveable until we can build our own home on the property someday. Its only one 2 acres, but that is plenty to have our mini-farm on it!!!! So we are praying that God will provide, and if the other couple buys it, obviously that is our answer that this particular property isn't for us, but we are praying it is, to get off the renting cycle and give our kids a home, home that we can start our mini farm up again. I sure do miss my chickens. It's been 3 years since we've had to give up our animals. ANyway, I will update and thank you SO much for your prayers! I'm sure praying for a miracle :)

Krystle, I pray that you get the property that you found. These transactions seem to take so long when we want them to happen quickly. Keep us posted.

Oh, Krystle! You DEFINITELY have my prayers! I really do hope and pray that everything falls into place quickly. This sounds like such a wonderful opportunity for you,and I am terribly concerned about the mold situation with which you are now contending. I'll be thinking of you and praying hard! Hugs - Nini

Krystle,
It sounds absolutely right for you and your family! I like your prayerful attitude that it will be yours if God means it to be! I'm hoping and praying that it is meant to be yours. How soon will you know? Please keep us posted!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

You have a bunch of changes and decisions to make. I pray that God guides you and that you hear His voice.

One thing I learned a long time ago is that I need to step out of the way sometimes. I've wanted things so badly that I manipulated situations and did a 'dog and pony' show to get things done. Usually, if it was that hard to accomplish something it was God closing doors and I kept using a sledge hammer to open them back up. It usually turned out not so good. But, when I would wait and listen and take action on the things God gave me peace about, things turned out better than I could've imagined or manipulated. So, I pray peace for you to be able to make sound decisions.

I'm also praying for your health. Black mold in a home can make you quite sick. Our whole family suffered from respiratory difficulties due to mold. It was an ordeal to gut the damaged areas out of our home. But, we all quickly healed up.

Catherine - I LOVE how you explain about getting out of your own way - I need to do that in quite a few areas of my life! "be Still and Listen" is not something I do very well and am looking forward to learning to do it better and more often!
