Hubby and I spent our 2nd anniversary today doing this to our archway. Thankfully we both love the rustic, country look. We ‘debated’ all afternoon as to who found this look first: Me off of Pinterest or him from a magazine.

Karen, this project turned out fantastic!! Love the look it gives your home too. From our own home projects, I know that this was not any easy task either. Enjoy the feel this now adds to your rooms. What is next on the project list??

Tnx! Bead board down that hall on left the same height as what’s on the wall by the wood stove. Dark gray above that. Hope to have all our projects done by the time the snow flies this fall so we can really relax and enjoy our real hobbies.

Karen, I love a rustic and cozy look myself. I wallpapered my room where I keep my computer and crafts with Log Cabin paper and then added a faux fireplace. It sort of feels like a cabin too!! Your upcoming projects are going to build onto the work you have already done and I hope you will share photos here for us to see your progress. You mentioned your "real hobbies"? Pray tell, what are those?? Inquiring minds are interested!! LOL!!

Real hobbies? Machine knitting, sewing, quilting, small furniture building and wood crafts. And reading, too. Would love to come home and not have all the projects to the house hanging over my head! But we’ll get there.
Log cabin wallpaper. Never seen such a thing! And I’ll bet you have fun decorating the faux fireplace! Got a pic to share?
