Well we haven't had the greatest weather this year... but we have had some breaks in the weather,,,

my peonys are struggling,,,

but my Lilacs are blooming....

my Borge is doing great...

my pup and kitty are enjoying a wee bit of sunshine...
oh and I spotted this 'stray' little Tulip, it sprouted up over by the Spruce trees...

Happy May

Grace your lilacs are beautiful. I do have a wee bit of garden envy. I tried to grow borage a couple of years ago and it just didn't like our northeast Texas weather. Yours is doing great.

So happy your furry kiddos get along.

We have peonies too, but ours always bloom late. Whoever lived here before us put them in a spot that hardly gets sun. My neighbor has some as well. Hers will bloom and die before mine bloom. But that's okay. They are still super pretty! Your lilacs are beautiful! I would love to have some beautiful color in my yard like that. I'm definitely making plans to change our yard up! Happy May!!

We finished Spring awhile ago down here and it is Summer ON full steam ahead. Temps are in mid 90s everyday and this weekend will have them climb to upper 90sm and close or at triple digits. No rain, which is odd for us and it is a baking pattern since last week.

Winnie, I had to run into town today... and I swear it's like being on a different planet,,, in town which is 7-9 degrees warmer then what we have out here on the West Plains... Roses, Iris's, and all sorts of blooming flowers... awww but it was so nice to see all the lovely colors...
Then by the time we got back to our little town, it rained,, oh well it was nice while it lasted...

Beautiful lilacs Grace. I always get to see them and pick some at my friends house, but he had an idiot trim them and he just cut all the tops off and took the blooms away for this year. I do have some lilac perfume so I can pretend I am smelling real ones.
