Hey farm girl sistas,,, I am gonna, kinda be MIA for a week or two...
I am up to my eyeballs in work around here,, as well as handling the task of 'sorting, cataloging, all of mom's photo albums to re-create new albums for my sister, her daughter, my daughter and myself...
Mom was not good about dating the photos nor labeling them with names,, so I am trying to sort and label them and then put them in chronological order for everyone.

Plus I am starting albums for all 3 of my grands... leaving empty pages for them to add future photos...

I am soooo gonna need a bottle (or several) to get me through this task...

Thus, I won't be on my computer much... except to pay bills... lol!

Do feel free to keep in touch... I do come up for air occasionally...
When I have finished with the photos,, I will be back to sit a spell with you all.

Understood. Sometimes you have to hide the computer to get anything done.

I truly understand Grace. That's my life everyday---too much to do. I think I could stay in this house and do nothing else but organize and it would take me a month. But chores do go on and free time is little---so I don't care like I used too---but desperately trying. Soon the Christmas things to get out of the attic and more mess. I just enjoy my life and do the best I can. Well Grace you sure do WINE a lot---LOL.

Grace I too understand. To get one thing done something else has to sit on the shelve.

Gracie...that is a BIG JOB!! But one that the rest of the Family will appreciate. In the midst of those albums take small moments just for YOU and it will make it go better than you
thought possible. Hang in there girl!!!

That's a huge job, Grace. It will be so nice when you are done. I have the same problem. Lots of photo albums of my mother's and she didn't label much. LOL! And all her siblings are gone, so no one to say who is who.

Grace, those scrapbooks are going to be wonderful family catalogues of the family and will be cherished by everyone. It is quite a big job!! Good luck with getting things identified and books ready fore everyone. You are a Saint to take this task on and everyone will be grateful that they have one to keep forever. My Mom made one for each of us and I still love to read through it and learn about the lives of my grandparents and my Mom!

If we don't see you before, have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

We will miss you Grace, but what an accomplishment you will have when finished. I go missing all the times when I have projects.it helps to stay focused.

Hey sisters, got a few minutes ... and thought I would pop in...
well, got the photos labeled, and in chronological order... whew!
I have photos from mid 1930's to 2000...

Thank goodness tor Ancestry dot com,, to help.
I have up to the mid 1970's in the albums... today I will work on more photos.

In the mean time, hubby and I celebrated our 47th anniversary ... yes, I was only 3yrs old when we got married! Lol!
Also got a new embroidery machine a Brother PE800.. which does 5x7 embroidery size, .
I researched Berninas, Pfaff and Baby Loc... but it gets back down to. How much will I use it, and I just can't justify paying the price of a mini compact car for a sewing machine. Lol!
Machine embroidery is a fun hobby and some of these bigger machines, besides taking up a large amount of space, require a person with a degree in Computer Science! Lol!

Well my coffee cup is empty and I need to get back to my albumns and photos. Once they are done, I will start making copies of specific photos for family members.
I will try to pop back in, in a few days.
Miss chatting with you all.

Hi Grace. I am busy sorting books---I don't know if having tons of books makes me a hoarder or not---I decided to think not. I am putting all of hubbies books in his work out room on shelves in the closet. That leaves me my sewing room library to myself. Have filled all the shelves to the max---but I will be right there when the library has their spring book sale. Lord help me but I do love books. I think it is because I had very few books as a child---my mom did not believe in reading---she only read one book in her life and that was Gone With The Wind---the length of it gave her a fear of books for the rest of her life. I need to sort pictures too, but I will do that right before I think I am going to die and then I will throw most away as there is no one to want them. I have given away a lot of my grandparents and mom's old pictures to people. Oh well ---up to my sewing room to kick those books in the butt and put them where they belong. Happy organizing.
