I want to add a big thank you to Kelly for your awesome card and a wonderful book! It's a mystery which I love. Can't wait Kelly starting on it tonight! I love the tatted butterfly and flower too! I hope I can learn to do that soon. Hanging them by the window in my office so I can see them everyday. They make my heart happy!

Nora - OMG, thank you SOOOOO much for the vintage BHG Barbecue cookbook from the 1960's!!!! My husband took possession of it right out from under my nose, as he is the "grill master" in our home, and has already written down what I need to get next time at the store for the Paul Bunyanburgers and Dutch Onion Rings. THank you from the bottom of my heart!

Oh my goodness...I had such a week. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, and then this arrived. The timing was perfect. I picked up the mail just before I headed out to our area bee club meeting. All I can say is wowowow...cuteness! I just love this tote bag, and it is so handy too!! Thank you so very much, Cyndie!

I have been so blessed to have been in the prayers of so many! I must thank Shannon and Denise for their cards of encouragement. It's one day at a time but my belly seems to be cooperating better. We had a death in the family so I couldn't go to my last follow-up for that but I think I'm doing ok. I did go to my one doctor in Philadelphia this past week and the immunosuppressants seem to helping so we're going to make some adjustments to try and fine tune them. It's still a tough road but I'm blessed for everyday I have and for all the wonderful support I have. Thank you again so much!

Thank you, from the very, very bottom of my heart, for the SO VERY NEEDED AND BEYOND MEANINGFUL RAOK that I received today!!!!!
I returned home today (Sunday) from a road trip to a cousin's wedding in Ohio with my parents and husband that turned out to be a one day trip to you know where. The directions I had printed out were completely wrong - we got lost 3 times heading up . . . turning a 2 hour trip into 5 hours . . . the Motel we stayed at could not have been worse (filthy and downright disgusting), the trip back today was as bad as the trip going up yesterday, but with the added twist of my Mom being sick from breakfast. My Dad and Husband were yelling at each other in frustration . . . My Mom was yelling at my Dad to be quiet and for me to pull over in the same breath because she was going to be sick . . . and I was crying while driving and got to the point I was so upset, I pulled over, got out of the car, and started flagging down vehicles to stop so that someone, ANYONE, could get us to the Ohio turnpike (one older gentleman did and had us follow him 17 miles to the turnpike entrance - an ANGEL, I am convinced!)
To come home . . .after another 2 hour trip turning into 4 hours . . . and find your box on my porch - with the Teas, the book, the kitty statue and the beyond beautiful crocheted shawl . . . I seriously started to cry AGAIN and I cried for 20 minutes - but this time, tears of joy. This, in turn led to my Mom crying, my Dad crying and even my "steely" husband welling up - all of us apologizing for getting so mad at each other because of the situation, and my Mom even apologizing for getting sick (which was NOT her fault!).
It could NOT have come at a more perfect time, when not only I, but my entire immediate family, needed a pick me up so badly. Just knowing that there are wonderful people like you in this world, the man who helped us . . . (yes, I am tearing up again!) . . . .AND ALL OF THE FARM GIRLS IN THIS COMMUNITY . . . reminded me in a split second of what matters most - that a simple, random act of kindness is all that it takes to make everything better and everything all right again.
Those beautiful crocheted scallops (which I will post a pic of tomorrow) also had even more meaning to the situation we had just gone through - The ties - or in this case, yarn - that binds us (family) together is worth so much more than getting upset over a frustrating situation and taking it out on each other.
