I posted this on the mail forum but thought it would be good to also post here. Not everyone visits the main forum and maybe some are more comfortable sharing with a smaller group. Either way it's not a bad thing to count our blessings twice LOL!
This year I want to focus much more on the positive things rather than all the negativity in the world. I thought it would be fun to have a place for us to share our blessings - big or small - so we can all share some positive vibes :)
Here's my first blessing - I'm blessed to be doing what I love! I was watching the sun come up as I fed the calves this morning and, even though it was a bit chilly, it was wonderful to be at home on my farm and not feeling the dread of going back to work today. |

This is a great idea, Heather. Thanks for also sharing it here. I’m not on the main forum a lot…I guess I kind of forget to check it. Maybe that should be a new resolution! I’m thankful for the cold rainy day we had yesterday (we need it!) and the warm, cozy meal in the crockpot to go along with it:) |

Heather, Last year I started having a word for the year. Joy was last year and blessing seems to be this year. I try not to pick the word but see what seems to be coming to me. Over the last little while blessing has kept coming to me.
I will share mine. We were traveling back from family and car trouble struck. We were able to get a tow and we thought it would not get done until the next day. Thankfully they got us in same day. I am so grateful for these times but I am also grateful for all my other blessings, my husband, children, grands and church family.
We have so many each day. |

| Sending my blessing of more rain north to Debbie K. The no-maintenance lawn has never looked so green! It is so sweet when Fallon shares her umbrella with me. I am also feeling warm and fuzzy about Wanda Sue's family update, Denise's timely tow and that Heather cross-posted this idea here (because I am still figuring out how to check both forums regularly-- this is such a huge sisterhood!). |

| My Blessing for today is that all of our Wildflowers are so supportive of each other and are so happy in the HH. I love the warm and fuzzy feeling I get when reading everyone’s post . Thank you all so much. |

| My blessing today is we made it home safely and most everything is unpacked. AND that we had a wonderful time with my eldest and her family. She and I have alot of the same likes and dislikes when it comes to decor, hobbies and other things. It was a fun time with all the grands and our son in love too. |

Karen, That is on my list for this week after I regroup from vacation. Ie; bills caught up, laundry, etc. It is truly a blessing for me to have a dedicated space to craft. |

| Good morning all, I am feeling blessed this morning to realize that I have Farmgirl friends who pray for me and send positive vibes. Just thinking about how far and wide we all are! All across this nation and even Canada and Australia. THAT makes my heart so very happy with a warm fuzzy feeling. I hope you all know that y’all are also in my thoughts and prayers even when I’m not active on this forum. Thank you Mary Jane for bringing us all together!!! |

| The blessing today (and most winter days) is to wake up without an alarm clock in soft cozy flannel sheets. Then the second "alarm clock" goes off a leisurely while later with the pitter patter of Fallon's feet on the way to the piano. We have an arrangement where I fix her breakfast while she visits her music assignment. |

| More blessings! The smell of baking bread (I had never paused to think about the smells we miss out on buying it pre-made). Helpers with nimble feet and fingers/power tools who got our onion sets into the ground record time. |

Sunshine, the smell of bread baking, craft rooms, family, wildflower sisters....this is exactly the kind of thing I was thinking of when I posted this. It's the little things in life that turn out to be the big things. Thank you all for helping me to focus on the good this year. I'm glad you are all joining me. I didn't expect so much activity on this thread but I'm sure happy for it!!!!
Today I'm happy to say we are blessed with a new state survey inspector. This is a tougher inspection that is done every other year. The last inspector was super critical and not a very nice person in general. The new guy that was here today is very fair and much nicer. |

| Heather, I’m so glad you got a friendly inspector this year. Since John was a state inspector (in a different expertise area) I know he always was fair and friendly. He tried to let people know that he wasn’t being a jerk, but just enforcing state codes and protecting public safety. :) |

I hope you get to keep your new inspector for a long time!! The ODA guy we had was NOT a favorite here! Brad and Seth would dread his annual visit and avoid his emails and phone calls. Then he just started showing up. Now we don’t have to deal with him anymore. So, thankful for that!!! Haha I am also thankful for flannel sheets and morning coffee:) |
