What are some of your favorite summer activities that you enjoy now, or used to enjoy as a kid?
For me, as a kid summer was all about squirt gun fights with my siblings (calling a time out to refill them at the bucket of water LOL) and watermelon seed spitting. Unfortunately, I think that's become a thing of the past. And as a kid summer seemed to last forever. Now I can't believe how fast it's flying by! |

| I remember riding my bike all day long. Only coming home to eat and use the bathroom! I love the way a plastic pool toy smells straight outta the package since it bring back the days of a fun little above ground pool! :) |

Watermelons with seeds are kind of an endangered species now.
As a kid, summer I pretty much lived at the horse stable. When I wasn't there, I was binge-reading YA book series about horseback riding. These days, there is a lot of "life guarding" kids in the pool or driving them to various day camps. Fallon hasn't discovered horses yet and I'm not sure if that's a blessing or a curse for our logistics. |

| My brother and I spent part of our summers at the lake with our grandparents. Grandpa was retired and had a marine and grandma had a gift shop / bakery in the back of the house. I was 10 when she passed away but we still would go up and spend time with grandpa. Though my parents would go up for two weeks in the summers after that to help grandpa. When at home we caught fireflies and had suppers outside at the picnic table. We played from the finish of chore time in the morning till chore time in the evenings. Came in only to grab a PBJ for lunch with a glass of kool-aid. We built forts in our woods and rode bikes all over the place. |

| Oh yes, raking out a clearing in the woods to call our clubhouse, pulling fallen parts of trees to sit on. Also, riding bikes around the neighborhood and stopping to pick up friends along the way. Those were long fun carefree days that seemed to last forever! |
A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.
