Hi!
My name is Melody Tigo. I live in Illinois. I am the hen honcho of the Quilt Chicks hen house. I am married to John and have two sons, Mike(23), and Chris(22), who is graduating from Eastern Illinois University on Sat., Dec. 18. I am a young 54 and I am a fitness trainer at Curves for Women. I have personally lost 50 pounds and have 20 more to go.
I love to quilt, crochet, embroider, cook, and do all sorts of other crafts,(or at least try!).
I am thrilled to make new friends here at Mary Jane's Farm. I am looking forward to meeting all of you in the Scattered Prairie Gals hen house. I'm rather "scattered" myself! ha

Hi Melody!! So glad that we finally go the kinks worked out so you could join us here! Melody, I had lost 50 lbs about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Went to curves very hit and miss but ate all organic and lost the weight with ease actually. Moved, and organic is not as affordable or accessible here and less exercise, sooo I have put it nearly all back on!! Hope in the New Year to get back on track and stay on track! Welcome to our chapter, jump right in!! Any ideas for next badges? I was thinking the craft/sewing badges. Anyone game? Blessings< Linda

The sewing badge sounds good to me too. How do you do that as a group?
Also, you may already know this, but the merit badges are all on a PDF file for downloading(and printing, if you like).

A few years ago, my family went through Florissant, CO when we were camping near Westcliff, Colorado. The mosquitoes were so bad so one day we decided to drive and sight see a little bit.

Yay, I'm finally signed up! I'm Tommie Provence from Southeast Kansas. I'm 31, live with my boyfriend of 5 1/2yrs on a small cattle ranch (that we call 'the farm'). We live a stone's throw from his parents house, which has its good points and not so good points. But we make it work. Between the two households we have 3 dogs, 6 or so farm cats, and any number of farm kittens. I love to cook and learning how to knit and embroider. I'm not into quilting...yet...but I have a feeling its in my future. I'm getting the sewing itch though and wanting to make my first apron. I love to get dirty and do just about anything with my hands.

I'm excited to be apart of your group!
Tommie

Ladies I guess there is something I need to share with all of you. I want to share in everything that you do such as the scrap book pages etc. but I have 2 surgeries coming up. Feb. 17th I will have Arthroscopic surgery on my left knee (had a total knee replacement on my right knee last year)as I have a torn Meniscus and Osteoarthritis, then the 1st of March I will have Carpal Tunnel Surgery. So, come spring I will be a New Woman and ready to go. I tell you I will not know how to act without all this pain. But, I am so looking forward to getting to know all of you and have fun. Thanks for listening and have a beautiful day.

Debbie! You are in the right group, believe me. Connie and Kathy just had some surgeries. Vi has had some health difficulties, Beverly is dealing with a lot right now, we all have had quite eventful few months! Do what you can, when you can. Brenda and I deal with quite a bit in our lives as well and we want this to be a place of refuge as well as having fun things to share with each other. Never want it to be 'too much' for anyone. So glad that you are joining us!! Keep us posted on how you are doing ok?

Blessings, Linda

Hi - replying to Katherine's post, I am not being notified of posts either. Will try to move "check Scattered Prairie Girls henhouse" higher up my priority list, so I'm not so far behind!
