Hello! I have two sons and one stepson, we have his, hers, and ours. I am originally from Indiana, Hoosier girl born and raised. I moved to Kansas City 15 years ago and Raymore 8 years ago. I wasn't raised on a farm and don't live on one now, but I come from a farm family. I loved going to my Grandma's farm best, I loved her cows. Even though I don't have a farm of my own I live close enough to hear the cows most mornings and that always makes me smile. Aside from that, I love the adventures my family and I go on, especiailly if they involve Route 66. I also like reading, history, knitting, and baking.

Justine so glad to see you here in the henhouse. I am also a city girl and moved to the country. When I first moved here we had cows right behind us. Now I wake up to the roosters crowing. Love it, don't you!!! Just jump in and check out all the post and if you have any new ideas, would love to hear them. Thank you for the info you sent me, will get you on the new mailing list. It will be fun meeting with you. Hugs,Brenda

Thanks you for the warm welcome. I'm happy to be here. It is so funny Brenda, we live in a sub-division so I never would have guessed I would go out and hear cows but I just love it. It makes me want a farm even more.

Justine you will find alot of ideas about gardening and canning here. We live in a duplex and hope to start some herbs and tomatoes next year on my balcony. I know Linda did a few last summer. I left Kansas City in 1975 and moved to Pleasant Hill. It took me years to get halfway comfortable. But I'd love to head back up to Overland Park, but have become so county they'd probably throw me out. I still go up there to do some shopping and dr. visits. How old are your boys? I will be getting my 6th grandbaby in March. My others are 22, two of them 18, one is 15 and our baby now is 12. Three boys and two girls. The new one will be a baby boy. We are so excited. Do you have family around here close. My two kids and their families and my mother who is 87 live here. The rest of them are in Overland Park and Ottawa Kansas. Check out the fall card swap and the Christmas swap. If you'd like to join in, just post and I'll add you. Have a good weekend everyone. Hugs,Brenda

Thank you Deb. Colorado is so beautiful! I do understand though, I'll always be a Midwestern girl at heart. I am so happy to be a part of this sisterhood and our Henhouse here. This is just such a warm and welcoming place to be.
