Happy March everyone!
Can it be that spring will be here in 20 days? Yea, I love spring! Sometimes in March we get weather warm enough to sit outside in the sun with layers, of course!
So what are you all up too?
Hope every one is enjoying a wonderful weekend! |

It's going to be a rainy week in Georgia, but that's better than last weeks snow :)! I have much to do, just deciding "what"! Want to sew, but will see how our week goes. I am so ready for Spring. Got some flower seeds from Baker's Creek and wanting to start them inside, excited about that :)! Hope you all have a blessed week! Hugs, Ruth |

Happy March to you too! Carole, Amazing to say but today was so beautiful here? Surprised me and thankful for it because I was busy today, this morning I went to the Wildlife refuge down at the bottom of the hill and helped with some art they had a special event where the Cackling Aleutian Geese fly off at dawn and people come and watch them and then just hang around and do art or go on the paths to check out the wild life. Then I had to finish cleaning the school. then went to the Homebased business expo. That was fun, I didn't win anything but did buy a couple of things. then went shopping and came home. I was tired.
The weather was blue sky, no clouds and warm. Nice. probably have rain tomorrow.
Such is life,,,Have a good evening.

Happy March SPGs!! Here in Florida, we are in the middle of the big Spring bloom and it is lovely! We have had lots of chilly, rainy weather this winter so it doesn't seem that warm but in reality it is good for the plant life. Two weeks ago, we had a few days of Arctic freezing with night temps down in the 20s!! However, the freeze did not effect everything here in town. Thankfully, most of my azaleas and camellias are fine. This is such a lovely time of year with trees flowering, new green coming out everywhere and a few days here and there in the 70s. I remind myself that this is the reason I live in Florida! The long heat and humidity, however, makes me weary come September and others are getting a relief from the heat!
I have been working on some travel plans for May which are shaping up to be very exciting. On our Jubilee weekend, I will be in north Idaho for a wedding on Saturday and then will be able to attend the gathering on Sunday May 3 at MaryJane's Couer d'Alene store! Whoop!! I am hoping Farmgirls who live in the area will stop by the store as It would be very fun to meet people!! Have you checked out MJF online store yet? Our Jubilee necklaces are in and ready to purchase. I ordered mine yesterday so I will have it for my trip and the store gathering.
In the meantime, I have been finishing up some knitting projects that are gifts, cleaning out my closets, and putting out a few spring decorations for Easter and Spring. Glad to hear Farmgirls here are doing well. Are any of you planning anything special for our Jubilee? |

Ruth, I hear you guys received 9" of snow. Isn't that a new record? I will admit, the weather has been crazy this year. We haven't had much relief from the cold. I'm just used to it now, so it doesn't bother me. Thankfully it hasn't been to windy.
Darlene, glad to read you had a wonderful day. It must be gorgeous at the wildlife refuge. From what I've read from you, I get the sense that you live in a nice area surrounded by nature.
Winnie, your travel plan sounds wonderful. Totally out of the loop in regards to MFJ new store. Confession, I have not read my latest issue of MFJ .... What is a Jubilee necklace all about? Do bring me in the loop! Now I've go to run down and read my MJF issue! lol
Not much going on here except just busy with lesson plans and working. I need a break! I feel like I'm riding by the seam of my pants! Sigh! Off to get my latest issue of MFJ to see if I can get some info on this Jubilee! |

Hello everyone,
Quiet on the forum. I can only assume that everyone is either frozen solid or enjoying some vacation time. How is everyone? What have you all been up too?
Here in the Prevost-Meier household it continues to be busy. Once dd's figure skating show is over I should have a bit more time. Since it will be her last show (going to college in the fall) we are planning a brunch for family and friends. I just cannot believe that my baby will be going off to college. It truly passes so quickly.
Take care everyone. |

Good Thursday afternoon everyone, we had snow this morning in Texas in March, what is wrong with this picture. The sun is out now but still cold outside. I'm like you Carole just get finished with one thing and two more come along. I oldest informed me on Monday that she is going back to college so that means I will be back to babysitting my grand daughter four days a week. Just do what we can do. Looking forward to seeing her a little more. But still want to keep up with everyone here and still do some swaps with everyone. Carole I have been reading about the Jubilee, should we do a little something here in the hen house to celebrate it? Anyone else? I did finish my baby quilt that I was working on. That all for now. Have a great day everyone. |

The weather has been insane in so many parts of the country. The south has been hit with snow and freezing rain. Here in the Northeast we are back to freezing temperatures.
Sherry, lovely quilt you posted! Did you cross hatch? Holy cow that is a lot of quilting! Beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing!
As for the jubilee, I did write a separate post. It's up to everyone in the henhouse. We can either do something here, or on the main forum or both. I'm open to whatever. I did take a bit of time to catch up and so far it looks like making an apron flag is in! The also have some great logos that one can use. Winnie is the one that brought it to my attention. I do not spend much time on the main forum. I need a time turner!
I'm off to bed. It's 11.33 pm here and I'm beat. Went out to dinner with some friends and came home late. Time passes so quickly when you're in good company! Another dinner date tomorrow ... gosh not sure I want to see more food at this point! lol
Take care everyone!

Hello Everyone,
We had a gorgeous warmish day yesterday. I was actually able to sit outside, bundled up a bit, and catch some rays! It felt so good to just taking the sun's rays while enjoying a cup of tea.
So what have you all been up too? |

It has been beautiful spring days here, in the 70s! I'm loving it and hope to do some planting next week :)
Sorry I haven't been on much. I IM Carole on fb. A lot going on and some decisions to make in the next few weeks. So I will be a bit quieter while I do some soul searching :)
All is fine just some changes to think thru soon.
How is everyone doing? Hope weather is settling down for everyone.

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone! Who is wearing green today?
I have a Prairie Women Sewing Circle Gathering today and this is what we are having with our tea/coffee!

I enjoy hosting this group. We talk about the history of women via the needle and thread. I love hearing stories related to sewing/quilting that the members share about their family.
Enjoy your day everyone! Catch you later! |

They were indeed delish! I don't know how they make store bought cake so moist and light. Somehow I think it may be chemicals! Sigh! I'm used to old fashion cakes. The batter is soooo good! ;)

Yes batter is good. My oven isn't working at the moment so I buy when I find the right ones. I was lucky yesterday, on of the students had cupcakes yesterday,
It was homemade, yum.

Well, I just had a haha moment! I always found the main forum tedious to navigate. I mean, I had to look at every section. It took sooo much time .... So I didn't spend much time on it. It just occurred to me click on the top right - Active Topics - and voila! I no longer have to navigate through all of these non active topics!
After all these years! lol Excuse me while I do a bit of catch up! Catch you later! |
