Gosh Shannon, you and your family have been having a very rough go of it lately!! I am so sorry to hear about the awful rat poison. Some people are just insane in their thinking!! Gosh, I am so so sorry to hear about hubby's herniated disc and potential surgery on the horizon. You all have so much going on right now and bet you just drop in the bed at night emotionally and physically exhuausted!!! Will keep your family in my prayers for quick resolution of these issues! Take care of yourself, PLEASE!!!

I have to admit - this is the first time that things have gone nuts and I have NOT lost my mind! It is more overwhelming when I look at all of it at once, but when I look at day in and day out, it really isn't that bad (is that sad/scary?). In any case, though, thank you so much for your prayers! The good news with hubby's back - well actually two things - is a) he feels better about all the pain he is in! I think he was starting to feel guilty/depressed, thinking he had no reason to not be able to do what he normally does.. especially after I had to cut the grass this past weekend... but knowing there is something else wrong with has back has reassured his "man-hood" if you will. He is such an incredible man, hubby, and daddy - and he has been really hard on himself lately! b) because he has to probably have surgery, which should put his medical board on hold. We really want to get to 20 years, so that he fulfill his original dream/goal! So there is a blessing in it - and even better that there will hopefully be a decrease in his pain in the long run!

Hi everyone, I am Back. But wow I have ready the post there are a lot of things everyone is going through. Shannon I am so sorry about the loss of the chickens. That is so sad. My neighbors down the road has chickens, they make my day when I go to sit with my sweet lady, I see the chickens out and running around.
My kidney stone is giving me fits this week. All I can say is OUCH. I will have it taken care of next month and I will be glad.
We have had so much rain the whole place looks like on big mud pit. My hubby joke's that since we a boat in front of the garage, if it gets to high we jump in. For all the rain we have been having I want one like Noah had!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend(Memorial Day).

You are right, Shannon, it does help to break it all down into little parts. It helps you stay focused, see possibilities, and avoid that crushing feeling when you feel the pressure from every direction! To have a limiting back injury is never easy to cope with for anyone at any age. We don't realize how much we use our backs for every tiny movement until it causes excruciating pain at every twist and turn. Hopefully, your husband's injury can be surgically improved and physical therapy can return him to fuller functioning. As to how the medical board will view this is anyone's guess. You might be moving to Wyoming sooner than you thought! I will always remember back in the days of working in the Operating Room on nights when the emergencies kept stacking up and the whole place was nuts and I was trying to talk about all the what ifs, my RN House Evening Supervisor would say to me, "Winnie, don't borrow any trouble". Those words have stuck with me forever!

Shannon, so sorry to read about the crazyness. I do hope that all will settle soon.

Marlee, Ough is right. I do hope you will be feeling well soon. Do you have your stent in? They are not fun! Ask me how I know?

Winnie, good advice from the RN House Evening Supervisor.

The weather here is back to cold spring! Not sure summer will ever get here.

Enjoy your day everyone!

You can't get a restraining order against her? What do the police say she has to shoot before they can do anything?

Sad My prayers continue.

In order to get a restraining order, we have to go to court and pay a bunch of legal fees, and money for our family is always extremely tight. Apparently in some states (including MD where my BIL is a police officer), you do not have to do it this way, but you do here in SC. Yes, basically the she has to shoot before they can do anything. My hubby doesn't think she is the type of person to do it, but with her seeming to be extremely unstable right now, anything is possible. We were looking at putting our house up for sale and renting a different house... but as much as I want AWAY from here, there is a definite feeling of unsettlement with that decision. Part of me feels like the Christian thing to do is to forgive her and to let it go, but that doesn't change the momma bear instincts of wanting to do everything I can to protect my children!

I can understand your wanting to forgive her but your family's safety comes first and I think moving would be safe and forgiveness at the same time but that way she can't shoot anyone. Is she on Drugs or Schizophrenic or something that you know of? Keep safe Shannon. You can't do anything for your family if something happens to anyone of you. It probably won't make her happy no matter what but keep safe.

Blessings
