Hello ladies, my name is Amy, and I live in Talleyville, Delaware. I am a musician (and I've also had my share of day jobs to help keep body and soul together!), currently mostly retired to help my family. My mom, who is 93-years-young, lives with me. I have one daughter, a registered nurse who is also in graduate school, and one granddaughter, 2 years old. I take care of my grandbaby while her mommy is working and in school. I'm really enjoying this time in my life, as I am able to pursue some of my interests like cooking, sewing, needlework, gardening and crafts. I am very happy to be a part of this group, and hope I will have some things to offer, and I know I will learn a lot. Thank you so much for inviting me, and I'm going to jump right in! Happy Day and BIg Hugs! :)

Happy Day!

Hey ladies, thank you for the invite! My name is Maryellen, I live in and love North Carolina. I was born in Michigan and raised in Florida. I live in the country but right outside the big city of Charlotte. I am married and together we have 8 children. 7 daughters and one son. All are married except the baby who is 24. I am Mimi to 15 grands. I love crafting of any kind. Sewing, quilting, paper crafting, card making scrapbooking etc. I love the quick craft, something that I can make and see results in a day or two. I started piano lessons 2 months ago. I am really struggling but also really enjoying learning. I love anything outside, gardening, birds. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Farmgirls. I love the swaps and I have met some of the most amazing women! Looking forward to getting to know you. Maryellen

Hi ladies! I guess who post bios here? :)

My name is Alicia, I am 34, a SAHM/ sometimes WAHM. DandeeRose is my sewing biz name. IT is a combination of a childhood nickname (Dandelion of Dandie) and my middle name, Rose. I live in SW (almost SCentral) Indiana on 2 acres of mostly woods. My husband, Matt, and I have been together since we were 16. We have 4 children; Isabelle, 13, Gabriel,5 (yesterday), Sawyer, 2, and an Angel, Levi who passed away in a car accident at 16 mo. He would have been 9 this year. I homeschool and we try to do as much as we can on our own. Aside from sewing, I love to cook, especially with local and in season, and I am slowly working on a cookbook. And I have a library in my home, so we are always reading around here! We have rabbits (my daughter's project and biz, Belle's Bunnies), Chickens, cats, and a German Shepherd puppy (7 mo), Araya. We grow a decent garden, but LONG for more space. We have prayed and continue to pray about this. We are just waiting for the perfect place. Last month we too a vacation to the Ozarks in MO to look around. We feel a strong pull to the area. We have looked a lot in KY, and online we have looked in ID, WA, and even Chile!

Hmmm.... I suppose that is a very basic picture of me... except you may want a real picture! HA!!! Here I am last weekend in a Farmer's Market skirt I made!

Hey there Alicia! I think there are still a few bugs in the system with our access. I haven't been able to post on the Book discussion topic. It'll all get straightened out eventually, I guess!?

Hi Alicia,
That is a really cute skirt! I think the stop sign might come when you get your membership, but I can't remember that is why or not.
You are a busy lady too and with your children they are doing well.
Please accept my condolences for your son.

I am sure you will enjoy it here it is a lot of fun and very sweet people. I am always willing to learn something new so if you have a new swap, I will most likely join it.

Welcome to the HH

hugs

Welcome Alicia. You're the one with the cool skirt!
I'm new too. I am Bonnie from Minneapolis, MN. I have been married 53 years to a wonderful man and we have two grown sons, 2 cats, 9 koi, and adopted chickens (next door). I have been a newspaper editor, writer, quiltmaker, teacher, cartoonist, artist and farmgirl. I grew up in Minneapolis and spent summers on my uncle's farm in Southern Iowa. We had gurnseys, hampshire hogs, chickens, sheep and one horse. I collect barns (small ones), small rolling pins, fabric and mason jars. I call my fabric stash my archives since it has fabric from some many eras. I used to repair old quilts. I am president of the 800-member Minnesota Quilters organization I helped start 37 years ago. I had the privledge of designing and making the 100th anniversary quilt for Itasca Park, the headwaters of the Mississippi River. I like to read, garden, participate in the River Valley Farmgirls and get to know new people. Thanks for inviting me to join.Welcome Alicia. You're the one with the cool skirt!
