Hello ladies:
My name is Alexis. I am 51 and a Registered Nurse...not working at the moment. I've been out of work since February and really enjoying the time to spend on projects around the homestead. We currently have 11 hens and a rooster (Aruacanas, Barred rocks, Wyandottes and Buff Orpington's),1 rabbit, 1 puppy and 1 cat. And what is a large garden for me...I've got some work cut out for me as it grows.
My husband and I live on 10 acres (in a winterized camper). Hopefully the house will be done next year! He's been on vacation last week and this week so I have been occupied but look forward to posting more when he goes back to work...
I've really enjoyed the swaps I've done in main group and look forward to being a member of this group...thank you for the invite!

Welcome Lexi!! I am a retired RN enjoying diving into all sorts of fun that was always on the back burner while working full time for 34 years! Your homestead sounds exciting and if you can post some photos of the goings on!!

Thank you for all the welcomes...I will look for some good pics to post. I got a part time job at UPS and am still looking for other work plus all the busyness that summer brings to the yard...I haven't been on the computer too much this week! Glad to be taking part in the group.

Our chickens at the beginning of the summer but! We've had a fox getting in so their numbers have dwindled a bit...

Pat's day enclosure... Cat usually hangs out there too due to aforementioned fox
