I'd love to hear about everyone's animal family members! Pictures would be great too. I have four kitties, all rescues. Bogie is blind from diabetes, but he's doing really well. Buffy was rescued from a bad breeder by my daughter and has bad asthma and arthritis, but she is still the boss around here! Poppie and Pennie were orphan sisters found in an alley and are very much scaredy cats, but very sweet. When my mom moved in we added her kitty, Pinky, to our household. She is very spoiled and does not fraternize with my bunch. I'll look for a picture. How about your critters? |

| We have a shepherd mix named Zoey. She is from a German shepherd rescue... Momma was a registered pure bred that was found on the side of the road extremely pregnant, but severely malnourished. She had nine puppies. They have no clue what daddy was, but are guessing momma belonged to a breeding circle that got rid of her when she got impregnated by a non shepherd :( Anyways, Zoey is about two and a half, about fifty pounds, and is a great protector. Since getting pregnant, she will not let me out of her sight, lol. |

We have 24 chickens, one is a chick our broody hen hatched a few weeks ago! We have several cats, but our main kitties are Echo, Sandstorm, and our kitten, Blue. We have 4 bunnies (Isabelle has a small bunny biz), one with a litter of 5 kits. And our Araya!! She is our 7 mo old shepherd. We have dreams of horses and a dairy cow. If we ever find the land. I had horse growing up and miss them terribly.

Shannon, Zoey sound like a wonderful dog. Isn't it wonderful having a rescue? You take care of them, then they take care of you!
Alicia, you have such beautiful children, the people ones and the non-people ones! |

| We have two older cats, one the GRANDDAUGHTERS could not leave the shelter without when they were five and two. They(the girls) are 18 and almost 15 now. We have a border collie who happened by and chose to stay. My husband has Tillie a little dog. Then there is Friday, the bird dog who belongs to the 18 year old but stays at our house. Next comes Scruffy, a little wire haired mutt, that someone dumped and my son took in. She loves to be his "hood ornament" on his four wheeler when he is doing chores. She also comes for treats, cool inside air and a nap. Squints is a young stray kitty who lives at the horse barn. I forget about him until the roosters announce that trouble is near. Then we have about fifty or so hens and at least 10 watch roos. They are so funny and full of themselves. There are horses (many, most are my son's, a few are my husband's) and my son's cattle. Mexican roping stock is what he raises. Add in squirrels and bunnies and we have a zoo. I always say the cattle drive happens in front of my house every few months as he moves those curly horned critters from pasture to pasture. Life on the farm is always interesting. |

Ooh, lots of furbabies you gals have.
We have a Boston Terrier, Shelby, who came to us when she was 8 wks old. She was the runt nobody wanted. She will be 13 in November. We have 16 girls in the coop. We have had chickens for the last 16 years. We now also have two pups here of my dad's. One is a miniature dachshund that is anything but miniature. Dad gives him to many treats. He also has a mixed shepherd/rotti. She is the most loving dog who I think must have been misused by a man because she does not care for men. She belonged to my mom originally. She broke loose from somewhere and showed up at their house in Florida. She kept hanging around and she didn't have a collar or license so they kept her. She was so patient while my mom slowly cleaned her up from ticks. She was loaded with them. Anyway, since mom passed she realized dad was who she had. Right after she would go in Mom's room and lay by the bed. She did that until we moved my dad up here with us. We would like to get a milk cow eventually. |

I have 6 rescue cats that come and go but two are inside and 1 is both she is a character and will hunt. She got a bird which was sad and laid on the sidewalk in front and I moved it to a plant and then there it was again on the sidewalk. I moved it again and it disappeared totally. One is a long hair sweet black one that stays outside but sometimes comes in the door and then back out, another one is orange and he just hangs around and gets fatter his name is chewy. His friend that is outside with him most of the time is like a tuxedo kitty and has beautiful coloring and is skittish, her name is Liz and I call her furball. Baby is a silver mancoon type kitty and she goes in and out but stays in at night. She was the baby of the kitty that just passed away. Then there is one called LuLu who runs the house and another really round tabby one who stays back in the bedroom and won't come out. That is Queeny. They are all so different and so sweet and lot of company.

| I love reading about everyone's furry family members! I have always had just kitties because I was not home enough to properly care for some other kinds of pets. I did do a lot of "babysitting" for a friend's two elderly doggies for several years. They would stay at my house for several days at a time. Duke was a 90 lb lab/ Doberman mix and Champ was a 75 lb fluffy white something-or-other who looked kind of like a wolf. They both lived to be 15, and taught me about how loving dogs are. They both died about 2 years ago, within a few months of each other. I still miss them! |

| I enjoy my critters also. I have four dogs, three older doxies which are very sweet. But then there is my Daisy Mae Foxhound, age three. She is so smart and happy and enjoyable. I adopted her from our local shelter when she was only eight weeks old but I met her when she was brought in at about five weeks old. I volunteered there at the time shortly after retiring. I was smitten with her and just knew in my heart she would be smitten with me also. We "glamp" together, walk together, eat together, etc. and etc. She is my BFF. |
