When I got home from church today, my package from Sara was by the front doo!!! What a wonderful surprise!!
A cool coincidence is that my daughter had recently given me a pot holder that is the same print!! Now I have a complete set in my kitchen and I love it for this Summer!! Gooseberry Patch books have been a favorite of mine for many years but I only own one from 1996. The new one is full of cute summer recipes and ideas and I can't wait to just sit down and read it like a book. I love the illustrations, homey tips and ideas, seasonal thoughts, quote and of course, great recipes.

Sara I buy 95% of everything online!! There are lots of things online not available in the stores! you get on the store's email list, they send you emails for free shipping. % off. I buy ebay a lot. ebay has new stores on their site!
I got get swap off Tuesday to Ruth.

| I received Winnie's gift today and all I can say is Wow! Instead of a recipe she sent me an article on fermenting which is right up my alley. Two neat cards, candies, and teas. A tea towel with a appliqued camper and ruffle on the bottom. Thinking about putting the towel in my Yellow Rose Cottage because it is where I go to hangout like FarmGirls who hangout in their campers. Thank you Winnie for being my swap partner and for the great gifts. |

Sara - I shop a lot online and in thrift stores. I love repurposing. And free shipping for online purchases helps a lot. And it allowed you to participate in this swap.

Connie, WOW, just WoW! I just returned from my sister's house in Scituate, MA. Received your swap package today. LOVE everything! Will post pics in a bit. Your package won't be going out till the first of the week, as I am a little behind. My sweet hubby is having a procedure in the morning 2 hours away to check the arteries in his legs and his aorta. Hopefully they will be able to stint him and send us home. Prayers appreciated for that :)!
Can hardly wait to try the Peach Syrup - oh yummmm, and the watermelon jelly, I have never even seen that before! Did you make the Honey Bee Bunting?? The first time that will be used is at our son in loves, surprise 50th Birthday Party the end of this month. He is also a Bee Keeper and the theme of the party is BEES! PERFECT! The pot holder and t-towel are perfect for Summer. Great colors in the fat quarter - love fabric :)! and the Wall Flower hanging vase is too cute. My little roses will be so pretty in it! Thanks again for such a wonderful swap and also a welcome home surprise :)! Big Hugs, Ruth

Ruth, I am soooooooooo Happy you like it all. It was fun to put it together for you! Yes, I did make the bunting. So exciting it's being used for a family party!! It was so much fun to make! The vase and potholder-towel came from a little mom and pop drug store, still surving after 50 years in the same family! I always try and get something there for my swaps. I love going in there. Some of the ladies are in their 80's and have worked there since the 1960's!! It's about 8 miles from the little farm stand I go too near Millington, Tennessee.There is a huge Naval air station there.
Prayers for your hubby! No worries, take your time. I am so slow in this Summer heat! I am taking the opportunuty to get some sewing done!

| Today I made the cold Orzo salad recipe from my new Gooseberry Patch cookbook for dinner tonight. This is my first time cooking Orzo, even though I have eaten it many times. It is delicious!! Right now cooling in the fridge to be ready later. Sara, I have several other recipes to try as well. This book is a lot of fun!! |

Thank you, Denise, for my Celebrating Summer box. It came yesterday, but I just got it from the mailbox today. I love everything in it. The recipe for Whoppie Pies sounds wonderful. I will make them very soon. I love the red/white gingham patterned towel apron you made. So very summery. I also love the ladybug timer, Gardener's soap, red/white napkins, cross-stitch kit to make. and the red basket everything is in. Thank you so much. Picture coming soon.
