Reading something interesting this month? I can't see any discussions that were started prior to my joining so when I go to Book Discussions it is blank.

I'm reading a couple of books right now.

Mississippi Blood, part 3 of a trilogy by Greg Iles. Not for the everyone. Tough topic of unsolved civil rights era and current day racism.

Starting the Catcher in the Rye to break up the dark topic of the book mentioned above.

Kristi,
Our last book discussion was posted on over a year ago so that may be why you are unable to see it or you would have to go to the bottom and search a in the last year. Thanks for starting this new thread. We can have a fresh start.

The last books I read were fun detective kind by Tamara Myers, light but intriguing.

Have a good evening.

I love cozy mysteries and have been reading the series called Mary's Mystery Bookshop. I am also reading a book called the The Journey by Wanda Brunstetter. It has an Amish theme.

Tamara Myers writes with Amish and Mennonite as background and she is a owner of a bed and breakfast place. She inherited the place from family, she is a crazy lady. She makes her guests pay for the privilege of doing work as part of there stay. She is a character.

It is fun and mystery at the same time.

I'm reading "Healing the Soul of a Woman" by Joyce Meyer, just came yesterday! I just saw on Hallmark channel they have Books Similar to the movies they have, so I'm going to check that out. This Summer I read some of our own Sara Knight's Mysteries! She was kind enough to share thru email.

I like books about the beach for the Summer. This Summer I did forego them to do a Bible study "Discovery" series from "Our Daily Bread". I learned a lot!

Is that the same ones I was reading from Sara, as well? they were good.

I enjoyed 3 others from Guide post, they were mysteries with great endings.

It was good, I can't work at the moment so have read a lot.
